Are They Ready For This?

They were on their 3rd pot of coffee as the conversations continued. Both Kevin and Daniel had shared the vision they had been given and everyone was in agreement that they both were to join together for the journey the Lord was sending them on. Emily excused herself trying not to fall apart until she reached the sanctuary of her room. She collapsed on the bed and then the dam broke. She couldnt believe the Lord was going to take Kevin away from her. As the days had gone by they had spent almost every waking moment together. They had shared every secret of their lives with each other which had tightly knit them together. She felt like she was apart of him, how could the Lord seperate them now. The tears rolled down her cheeks, soaking the pillow as she let all her emotions out realizing that for the first time in her life she had fallen in love. At the thought of this she cried even harder not hearing the light tap on her bedroom door. Kevin entered her room seeing her distraught state, he sat next to her and pulled her into his arms. He held her for the longest time just letting her cry out whatever was tearing her heart out.

Everybody needed a breather after Emily had disappeared and then Kevin. Sarah and Daniel decided to take 15 minutes and go for a walk so they could finally talk to each other alone. Their eye contact during the meeting had spoke millions but the words had yet to be spoken out loud. They knew they would need longer than 15 minutes, but it would at least be a start. As they went out the door David re-lit the fire with logs on the hearth as Julie and Terry went to the kitchen to make more coffee and this time make some sandwiches. " I sense romance in the air, dont you?" she asked Terry as she rinsed out the pot. Hearing this Terry banged his head on the freezer door as he was removing the lunch meat from the frig. Seeing this Julie burst out laughing. "Not you and me" she laughed." I meant Kevin and Emily". He had a sheepish look on his red face as he emerged from the frig which made Julie laugh harder. "Oh" he said. He had never really given much thought to romance since the rapture, really didnt know if that was still a part of Gods plan. Guess it is, he thought to himself. Julie kept looking at him as he was in thought with a smile on her face.

Light was just starting to peek through the cabin window as Emily started to stir. She lay snug under the comforter feeling the warmth and the coziness of the bed. Kevin had left her hours ago after talking late into the night. She had found out that the love she had for Kevin had not been some silly school girl crush but the real thing as Kevin had come to realize he felt the same way. Emily had asked him what they could do about this if the Lord was sending him away from her. Unexpectantly the angel appeared to both of them and gave them the answer. " The Father sees you both as One. You will take this journey together". and then he had been gone as fast as he had appeared. Kevin and Emily both excited about knowing how God their Father saw them decided to approach the Rabbi about wedding plans but because of the late hour decided to wait until morning.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Sarah were in the same boat. They felt like they had walked the entire compound by the time they came back. "I never stopped loving you Daniel." she told him. "I just felt so betrayed by what you were doing to our marriage." "I know that." he told her. "I did betray you, and I dont know if I would have ever come to my senses if I hadnt lost my memory for 3 days. But now I know you are a gift from God and always have been only I didnt know it because I didnt know Jesus until now. Can you ever forgive me and maybe give me a second chance?" "I forgave you when I saw you in the infirmary." she replied. As they sat on a bench near the cabin the same angel appeared to them. "What God has joined together, let No man put assunder. You are still one in the Fathers eyes." and then he was gone. Daniel held her tight as she cried relieving all the pent up anger and frustration she been harboring inside. He also cried with her feeling all the remorse of what he had done to their lives and asking God for forgiveness. They both felt the warmth as it started in their feet and move its way all the way to the tip of their heads. The healing power of God had just washed over them and left them filled with the love of God. They wanted to go tell the Rabbi and ask him if he would remarry them, but because of the late hour decided morning would be better.

Julie, Terry and David sat at the table making the list. The list was for everything that Daniel and Kevin might need on their journey. From dried food, clothes, small weapons, binoculars, compass, and much more. Daniel and Sarah came back in and pulled up chairs to join in with smiles on both their faces. "Whats up with you two?" Julie asked. "Better make that list out for 3 of us."Daniel laughed. "The Lord has joined us together again." Sarah glowed as she told them, "We are going to ask the Rabbi in the morning to re-marry us." Tears slid down Julies face as she jumped up to hug Sarah and congratulate them both as did Terry and David shaking Daniels hand until he thought it would fall off.

After gently tucking Emily in Kevin had quitely let himself out of the room and walked back to the living room. Walking in on the handshaking he looked at everyone and said "Whats going on here." Everybody excitiedly told him what had transpired while he had been gone and a big grin crossed his face. "Well " he said, "You better make the list out for 4 of us then."

The Rabbi had been counseling with Kevin and Emily. He felt in his heart that both of them had heard from the Lord on this but he just needed to be sure before giving them his blessing . Daniel and Sarah had already talked to the Rabbi and were waiting outside the door for Kevin and Emily. If all worked out the way they planned, they would have a double ceremony this evening and then they would all leave at dawn for the journey they were about to embark on. Terry was to be Kevins best man and David would be Daniels. Julie had been asked by Emily to be her maid of honor and Sarah had asked Lisa to be her matron of honor. The door finally opened and Kevin and Emily walked out with smiles on their faces. The Rabbi greeted everyone and told them to be back in the main hall by 7pm. He headed off down the hall to find out who was willing to help set up for the 2 weddings.

The Heavenlies were full of excitement as the choir of angels gathered around the throne to watch all the hustle and bustle of the compound. The main hall was dazzling as everyone was preparing for the big wedding. Banquet tables lined the room in every direction with pure white table cloths and beautiful flower arrangements in the center of each one. Platters and bowls of every delight was being prepared in the kitchen. There hadnt been so much excitement and fun at the compound sense the day they had all arrived from the collisium. Under all the tension of preparing for the things they knew were coming soon this was a blessed relief that spread joy to every person in the compound. The Rabbi had called upon anyone with musical instrument abilities to present themselves in the main hall to prepare together for the evenings event. So many people showed up the entire platform looked like an orchestra. So many talented people the room was filled with beautiful music. This was going to be a night the tribulation saints would remember for a long time.

Emily stood in front of the antique mirror in her bedroom at the cabin. The beautiful wedding gown they had found in the basement of the main building appeared to be custim designed just for her. Not a spot, wrinkle, or blemish of any kind had been found on the gown. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think that after the rapture she would find this kind of happiness. She bowed her head and closed her eyes in front of the mirror. " Lord Jesus, how can I ever thank you for all that you have done. From salvation, to the new friendships, to the love of Kevin. I am not worthy." Tears fell from her eyes as she continued to give Jesus praise for all that He had done for her. Julie tapped on her door and entered to see a beautiful Emily standing before the mirror. " I have brought you one more thing that you need." "Whats that?" Emily asked while grabbing a tissue. "Something borrowed." Julie said as she carefully slipped the pearl necklace around Emilys graceful neck. Julie helped her put the veil in place and they both looked in the mirror at the beautiful sight of Emily, both trying to hold back the tears.

Lisa knocked on Sarahs door. "Come on in, its open." replied Sarah. She was dressed in a beautiful cream colored suit with matching high heels. Lisa walked in exclaimed, "You look like a bride." and they both laughed. Lisa slipped a bouquet of cream colored roses around her wrist and gave her a hug. "Are you ready for this?" she asked. Sarah nodded, too emotional at this point to speak.

As the orchestra hit the first seven chords to the wedding march a hush fell over the people in the main hall. Daniel and Kevin stood on either side of the platform dressed in their white tux. The rest of the wedding party joined them as the music began except for the brides waiting to begin their walk.

Emily slipped her arm into Brother Aarons arm as they stepped through the doorway. She would be first to walk down the aisle and Brother Aaron was standing in for her Dad. This was the happiest day of her life except for the day she found Jesus and she knew he was with her this day also..

Sarah stood with her arm in Dr.Nelsons arm waiting in the wings for her turn to step forward. Dr Nelson had been the closest friend she had had since arriving at the compound. They had shared many quite times together talking about the past and what the future held and had become very close. He was honored that she had asked him to walk her down the aisle.

Everyone stood to their feet as Emily made her entrance and began her walk. She was glowing and everyone was in awe of how beautiful she looked especially Kevin who stood watching her anticipating her arrival.

The Rabbi stood on the platform smiling as each bride made her way to the front. Brother Aaron joined Kevins hand to Emilys and took a seat at the head table where the brides and grooms would be sitting after their nuptials.

Sarah and Dr Nelson made their way to Daniel as murmurs from the people uttered how lovely she looked. She joined hands with Daniel and the Rabbi began.

There was a hush in Heaven as below them the vows were exchanged. "Is it time now Lord?" the angel of the Lord spoke. The King of Kings smiled down on the scene He was watching. "No, not yet. The time has not yet come. For tonight there is need for this celebration. They must all remember the joy this night brings them because the days ahead will be difficult."

The Rabbi looked into the happy faces looking back at him."Well, what are you waiting for? You may kiss your brides." Kevin and Daniel pulled their brides into their arms and kissed them to seal their vows. The couples heard the roar of applause as they turned to face all the people they had grown to love over the weeks. The orchestra started the first waltz of the evening as the couples joined together to dance for the first time as newly weds.

As the song ended another one started. Everyone who could dance found a partner to join in the fun. Platters of food began to arrive from the kitchen along with bottles of sparkling cider to toast the future of the newlyweds. Tonight would be a night of memories to carry them through the times they knew were coming until the glorious appearing.

After they had eaten their meal and celebrated with the happy couples Julie and Lisa slipped away to the Rabbis office. "We have to get through some of these e-mails that have come into the web page. The Rabbi wants you and I to get as much information as we can as to the location of some of these safe places so he can set-up a plan for Kevin and Daniel as the Lord leads them."Said Julie. Lisa sat down at her desk and opened up the web page just as Julie opened it up on her computer."While you check on those e-mails Julie, I have a list of items I need to e-mail to that new machine shop, they may also know the locations of some of the safe places, I'll ask them." Julie and Lisa went to work as the celebration continued.

The black SUV that had once been the vehicle assigned to Daniel was parked in the barn. The Rabbi had found several people that afternoon to make sure it was mechanically prepared for the 2 couples to travel in. Secret compartments had been installed to hide weapons he was sending with them along with their bibles for safe keeping. Their luggage had been removed from their quarters and placed in the back of the SUV along with food they may need. Monies had been taken care of with the trip to town to the local bank to exchange for argos. The angel of the Lord had instructed the Rabbi with everything they would need and had told him everything else would be provided along the way. People had been instructed all day to go out to the barn in their spare time to pray over the vehicle requesting, Gods devine protection and guidance for the 2 couples leaving the compound. Hundreds of people had lifted up prayers all day long. The laptop was the final item placed into the secret compartment along with the argos.

The 2 couples continued to celebrate as the hours ticked by.They would be leaving many wonderful friends behind and they each were saddened by this but also looking forward to doing the Lords work. Their time at the compound had prepared them for the world like never before and they had all been rejuvinated and strengthened with each passing day. As sad as it was to leave all their friends, they knew that they would all be together again some day

Lisa finally finished the list of all the safe places across the country just as Julie finished the list of detention centers. The Rabbi was waiting for them as they came out. The celebration had died down around midnight as each bride had thrown her bouquet and left with her now husband to return to their quarters to rest before driving off at 6am. The Rabbi had asked them to come to his office at 5am for the list and a final briefing.

Emily lay curled up in Kevin's arms. He could hear her softly breathing steadly beside him. She had fallen asleep easily after they had consummated their vows to each other. Kevin lay next to her tired but excited about about the day and the future. Slipping his legs out from under the covers he knelt by the bed. "Thank you Lord for giving me someone to love and share the rest of my life with. Thank you that you will go before us and guide us to do your will." He heard a knock on the cabin door. He quitely rose and went out to open the door before Emily woke up. Opening the door he found Daniel standing there with a sheepish grin on his face. "Did I wake you?" Kevin chuckled. "No, I couldnt sleep." Daniel smiled and said "Me either."Can we talk for a little while before the briefing with the Rabbi?" "Of course, come on in and I'll re-stoke the fire."

Daniel, Sarah, Emily and Kevin sat in the Rabbis office listening to instructions for their journey. They would be driving back through Oakland and were being warned to take all backroads possible. The collisium had now been turned into a detention center since their escape and the city had been turned into a main hub of communication for all detention centers across the country. The city was crawling with federal agents. Kevin was given a list of all checkpoints leading into and out of the city. "You must use one of these maps to find the closest entry into the city in order to help the people in the detention center. There are several safe places set up within an hour of the collisium outside of their perrimeter. The Lord will let you know when your mission in Oakland is finished and where your next destination will be. You will be sheilded by the hand of Almighty God as long as you follow his instructions. In advance here is the list we have of all detention centers and safe places across the country. Of course this is subject to change and grow during your travels and I will update you on the webpage daily. Make sure you log in every night. The Lord will lead the way, follow Him. Let us pray."

The 4 travelers and the Rabbi joined hands and knelt in a circle, eyes closed. "Father in Heaven we thank you for this opportunity to serve you and be a part of your great plan. We submit our will to yours and ask for your devine protection, not only for us but for those whom you have called to be rescued. We will wait upon you daily Lord knowing that it is you who renews our strength and that you go before us daily preparing the way. Amen."

They could all feel the excitement building as they rose. The Rabbi hugged the 4 of them and walked them out of his office. The entire compound had risen early to say their goodbyes and stood waiting by the barn for them to arrive.
