Lisa heard a voice in her ear...."BE BOLD..FEAR NOT"
"Jack you have NO power over me....none whatsoever because greater is He that is in me than He that is in this world" "And JACK...you listen and you listen good....JESUS LOVES YOU TOO" Jack's demonic rage took a jolt and Jack stepped back....His eyes so fully of furry just moments ago have changed......but still deep within comes a threat....."STOP THAT...DON'T SAY THAT NAME AGAIN OR I'LL..........."You won't do anything...in Jesus Name ..you hear me ...In Jesus Name Jack I tell you the truth...JESUS LOVES YOU" "Put down that weapon...put down your hate and bow your knee in this room Jack...bow your knee and surrender ....your daughter is cheering you on Jack...I KNOW it ...I just know it Jack"
with each mention of that name....The Name of JESUS...the demonic legion of combatants warring against Lisa and Jack's soul have began to retreat.....yet in a final thrust of fury.............a unified burst of rage convulses through his body as Jack re-aims the gun at Lisa's brow......

Possum Hollow
Possum Hollow is a place in the middle of nowhere...near nothing but such a beautiful place to be. The nearest towns are 10 miles away through winding curvy and hilly roads. Famous for it's dirt track and hayrides...it's a timeless place so unchanged by modern culture.
It's the place kids went to a hundred years ago to swim the creek. walk the hillside and explore the caves. They still did just a few short months ago....Dan Wright had to chase a group of revelers off his property in the midnight hour of a friday night....as a group of teens cruising Possum Hollow had parked along the road and in the midst of sharing their Friday the 13th stories...trampled through the field in search of the infamous caves of this distant place.....hoping and praying to never meet "Jason..Jason" you know the movie?
But NOW just a few short months AFTER the great "Catching Away" of God's church sits a handful of people who view this serene landscape NOT as a place of tantalizing horror for those seeking a rush but rather a place of salvation A REFUGE.
In this relatively short time ....a band of new believer's have united to fashion a base of seclusion and safety....setting up camp in preparation for the horrendous "times" to come.
For now ....they share hot cooked meals as free people.....bacon..eggs and biscuits and gravy.....Deer Chili....Deer Steak.....rabbit stew........canned veggies galore. But Pastor Tim has been preparing them for what WILL COME..... a time they will HAVE to retreat away from the houses they now enjoy and the hot meals sitting around the table......they KNOW there will come a day ...they will have to head to those CAVES ....hoping to endure to the end and be saved.
Every person or character that is alive....has THAT reality staring them in the face on a moment by moment basis. Things have changed.....this is The Tribulation. There is no status quo...there is no business as usual. Judgement Day is not a sermon to be heard but a certain destiny to await.
"Dan...pass the gravy will ya?" "have at it Pastor....might need some salt" "Your awful quiet today Keisha...you alright?" Pastor Tim had noticed..Keisha ..normally ms chatterbox had been NOT just quiet but extremely quiet..."No...I'm not alright....I have been having dreams....bad bad dreams" "Dreams?" "well not just dreams while I'm sleeping..but all through the day" "you mean like visions?" "I guess....whatever you call them...I will just be talking or off to myself and all of a sudden....before my eyes will be a movie or something playing before me and it's oh so real"......."like what?"
"the whole group of The Hollow listens with great intensity....after all....Keisha is not been given to "seriousness"...this is so NOT like her. She has been ms jovial..ms chatterbox...ms change the subject from one thing to the other and never take a breath. But their is a soberness in her words....something that suggest she truly has been upset by something
Again Pastor Tim coaxes her to open up..."what have you been seeing Keisha?" ......Keisha putting her spoon down...unable to eat another bite...takes her napkin and wipes her mouth as if to compose her thoughts before speaking....."BLOOD" "A SEA OF BLOOD"...."and" Keisha beginning to tremble .."it cries out"

Steven placed his pistol in his back holster and Bud picked up the shotgun as they headed outside to check out the woods surrounding the cave. Steven had earlier dismissed his feelings as just an overactive imagination until Christina told him she had similar feelings that someone was watching them. Bud thought it was Jason and Steven had agreed with his thought, but WHY was the big question. He could be safe inside and everyone had thought he had accepted salvation and no one would have thought differently so why leave and hide out? Bud motioned to Steven to look down at the tracks leading into the woods. The two men walked slowly following the tracks until they disappeared. Bud scratched his head and looked up into the branches, but could see nothing. Steven felt as though eyes were following their every movement, but where was he?
Jason watched as the two men were circling around his location, but he had hidden himself well and he knew they wouldn’t see him. He brought the pistol closer and prepared to shot should they stumble upon him. “Watch for the one that leads, that’s who you want,” said the voice. Jason rubbed his eyes and kept watching the two men.
“Bud, I need to get to the airport. Sam should be touching down in about fifteen minutes,” said Steven.
“I will keep looking and then I need to start figuring the measurements for the security system and where we want to put it. It would be good if we could find Jason so when put the system in he won’t have any idea where we put it,” Bud told him.
“You are right. We need to find him any way before he does something really stupid.”

On the Ranch
Kristen sat on the porch and watched the sunset. Sunrise and sunset were fast becoming her favorite times of day. Since the morning she had given her heart to Jesus she loved spending time watching the sun come up in the morning and go down at night. It was her special time with her Savior. She would sit quietly and watch the sky explode with colors that only God could create.
She scratched Grumpy and sighed. The last few days had been amazing. She would listen to the Bible studies in the morning and evening and she was even beginning to read the Bible herself. Tori was always there with her to help her with the words and Kristen absolutely loved how by reading His words, she felt renewed and strengthened.
She was still dreaming, mostly about Leon. She didn’t understand the dreams and couldn’t remember much about them when she woke. She also dreamed about Earl. Well not exactly dreamed, but she had nightmares about him. She always woke terrified, but as with Leon couldn’t recall the dream.
It was really strange, but she no longer had such a deep hatred for the men who had abused her. Especially Mikey, Antony and Louis. She only felt pity for them. She knew that Mikey and Antony were in hell. She didn’t know how she knew, but she did. She knew instinctively that they had both died rejecting Jesus and His free gift of salvation. As for Louis, she had a feeling that he was in hell too.
Kristen heard Zoe laugh and thought about how much fun she had had that afternoon. Shade was taking another load of cattle to Amarillo tomorrow, and Kristen had helped write the list of things Maddie wanted him to pick up. Everyone had laughed, sang, and danced together as they went through the house deciding what was needed.
Matt was a horrid singer, but he had bellowed songs at the top of his lungs with a terrible country twang and had everybody laughing so hard that they had begged him to stop. Finally Nathan had tackled his cousin to get him to be quiet. That had turned into a wrestling match, where even Tori and Zoe had gotten involved.
It had reminded Kristen of days playing and wrestling with her parents. A warm glow had filled her heart at the memories of her parents, and she had impulsively hugged Maddie. Maddie had been stunned by the show of affection, but quickly gotten over her surprise and hugged her back, whispering how much she loved her.
The sun had completely set and Kristen stood up and walked back into the house. As she was closing the door, she felt a pressing on her heart. She stood quietly and bowed her head, saying a quick prayer. She stood in the doorway for several minutes, and finally lifted her head, closed the door, and walked into the kitchen where everybody sat at the table getting ready for evening Bible study.
“Shade?” she said.
“Hmm?” Shade said as he thumbed through his Bible, looking for the passage he wanted to talk about that night.
“I need to go with you to Amarillo tomorrow.” Kristen said standing next to the table.
Everybody looked at her. “Did you thing of something you need?” Zoe asked.
“No, I just feel like I need to go tomorrow.” Kristen answered. “I don’t know how to explain it, but I think the Lord wants me to go.”
Maddie looked at Shade. “You know we should all go. Make a family trip out of it.”
Shade nodded his agreement. “We’ll all go.”
Kristen sat down to Bible study with a feeling of excitement. She didn’t know why the Lord wanted her to go to Amarillo, but she knew she had to answer His call.

Frank Keller opened his e-mail and began scrolling through. He saw an e-mail from Pontentate Argryos' office.
Frank detested getting e-mail from the Argryos, but knowing his computer was monitored, and that the Pontentate's e-mails were considered top priority, Frank clicked on that e-mail first.
As Frank read the e-mail, his eyes widened in shock, and in his head he began to shout thanks to Jesus. He forwarded the e-mail to the necessary personnel, and then printed out a copy. Grabbing the paper off his printer, he rushed out of his office and down the hall.
Frank took a breath, plastered a smile on his face and knocked on the door.

Brett sat at his desk, his finger rubbing his cheek. The cheek that Tansy Keller had slapped.
Bret had been stunned when Tansy had slapped him, and his face flooded with color at the memory. For such a small woman, she had packed quite a whallop. His head had turned so hard that he had heard his neck pop, and the sting had lasted for hours. When he had walked into his apartment, he had walked into his bathroom and looked into the mirror. There, on his left cheek, was a bright red hand print.
Thankfully the next morning the mark was gone, but the humiliation had remained. How dare she strike him, Brett fumed. The more he thought about it the more furious and embarassed he became. He had been so stunned by the slap, that retaliation hadn't even entered his mind. He had just grabbed his coat and left.
But retaliation was in his mind now.
Brett was brought out of his musings by a knock on his office door.
"Come in." he said loudlyy.
Frank Keller walked into his office, a broad smile on his face.
"Brett, you dog. Why didn't you tell me you had submitted some of your architectural designs to the Pontentate's office?" Frank beamed at him.
Brett was taken aback. "What? I didn't."
Frank stopped in front of his desk, and gave a confused frown. "You didn't? But I thought you had."
"No. Why would I?" Brett asked frowning in confusion himself.
Frank handed Brett the copy of the e-mail, and sat down in a chair across from Brett. As Brett read, Frank carefully watched his face. He saw the moment realization dawned. Frank plastered a big smile on his face again, and when Brett looked up at him he said, "Congratulatuions. The Pontentate himself went over your designs, and has chosen you to help with the rebuilding of Babylon. You leave day after tomorrow." Frank finished with a laugh.

Steven pulled up into an area along side the small airstrip and got out of the car and walked toward the small hanger. He looked up to see Sam securing his plane and shouted, "Hey, glad to see you made it back without any problems."
"It's good to be back. It felt great being up in my plane again. This little plane has served me well. How's everything back at the camp?"
"We'll talk about it on the way back. Do you need any help securing your plane?" Steven replied.
"Nah, I've got it covered. We may need to move it at a later date so no one can spot it from land or air. You never know when it will come in handy," Sam told him.
Steven watched as Sam gently placed a protective tarp over the top of the plane and once again gave the plane a loving pat. The two men walked back and got in the car to head for home. Steven filled him in on the missing Jason and that he had a feeling he was watching them from the woods, but couldn't find him.
"I'm really disappointed. We all thought he had accepted the salvation Jesus has given to us all, but maybe he's been brainwashed beyond the point where we can bring him out of it. We will just have to pray and allow God to change his heart. We can only deliver the message and pray it's received. Steven, we will have to get the security system in place in the next few days and then we will be able to know if any danger is close."
Steven shook his head in agreement, "Yes, Bud and I finished mapping out the place we want to put it, but we really want to find Jason first so he won't know where we located the camera and the wiring for the alarm."
"Yes, I agree." Sam said.
Sam turned the car onto the road leading to the cave and scanned the woods for anything unusual or Jason. He looked at Steven and laughed, "Do you remember the character's name in the Friday the 13th movie? I think his name was Jason.......don't think I should have made a joke of this, eh?
Steven looked sideways at Sam and rolled his eyes then shook his finger at him. "Not a good joke at all, friend."

Lisa sat on her knees...crumpled over in angst....mourning the man lying face down in a puddle of blood before her. He had pointed the gun at her brow only to see an angelic host of angels encamped about her...in an instant the demonic forces of rage turned ...he looking at her face and seeing that glow about her...began to sob in shame...turning the gun towards himself ....without hesitation ...though Lisa had screamed "NO JACK....NO" the sound of the gun rattled through the room ...in a moment captivated so intensely by unseen forces of evil intent on destruction ....ended up doing what evil always does.....destroying it's own.
Jack had been a servant for so long...had always been faithful to be unfaithful...quick to anger and slow to forgive....unloving...uncaring and brutal...a vessel of dishonor..but yet in his last few minutes....the target of years of his abuse had cried out on his behalf ..."Jesus Loves You Jack" she had cried.....had he listened..had he heard ....his eternal destiny would have been altered...but Jack chose hate ...Jack chose destruction and He who lives by the sword shall surely die by it....
"it's appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement"
Lisa sat by his lifeless body....crying and releasing years and years of hurt
But Jack...who just moments ago ended his time on earth ...has ascended through celestial realms that defy human imagination ...his eyes filling his soul with such wonder and awe
Then a figure of such Glory and Brightness envelopes the place with which Jack stands....So intense the Brightness that Jack falls on his face in awe. Jack feels a tug on his arm ....angelic beings raising him back to his feet.....appearing before his eyes ... An OPEN BOOK.
Then voices seemingly coming at him from every direction reading off the charges listed..."always drunk...abusive..addicted to porn, full of hate, unloving, unforgiving, the charges growing louder ...sounding repetitive in nature...then a voice as of Thunder rivets through Jacks being...."GUILTY AS CHARGED.....DEPART FROM ME...YOU WORKER OF INIQUITY....I NEVER KNEW YOU"
"WAIT...NO WAIT.....WAIT PLEASE" Jack screams ...the grip upon his arms intensifying ...pulling his being away.....for the first time EVER Jack has NO HOPE.....HIS ETERNAL DESTINY ASSURED......A LAKE OF FIRE WILL BE HIS HOME

Christina was walking around watching for Steven's car to pull up when she heard a noise in the woods behind her. She quickly turned to see what had made the noise when she spotted someone in the trees and then quickly disappear. It had to be Jason, but was he alone? She moved in to take a closer look, but could no longer see or hear anything. Bud was walking towards her and she motioned for him to not say a word then she pointed to the woods behind her. He felt for his pistol and placed his hand on the grip waiting for whatever came from the woods. They heard the car pull up behind them and Bud watched as Christina turned to walk to the car to greet Sam. Sam opened the door and pulled his long lanky body from the car and reached for Christina when the first shot rang out. He fell to the ground and Christina ran to him screaming, "No, not Sam, please no....Sam....please be all right." She bent down beside him and gathered him into her arms with tears streaming down her face she looked upwards to heaven crying, "Jesus, I beg you to save Sam. He is my best friend and we all love him. Please, dear Lord, please save Sam."
Bud went one way and Steven the other with their guns drawn. Steven motioned for Bud to go up the hill and he would circle back around to meet him. They got low to the ground as they worked their way through the trees and brush then Bud spotted him. He had really given himself good cover, but he didn't know Bud was more than just a good ole' boy, he was a trained Marine. Bud made virtually no sound as he approached Jason and before he had time to react, Bud had him face down on the ground. Steven made there just as Bud was pulling Jason's hands behind his back and forcing him to stand. Steven's anger was showing and he grabbed the boy by the collar and said, "Do you know what you have done? How can you be this evil? We were your friends, Sam was your friend and you shot him. Have you lost your mind? I have a good notion to whip you senseless then take you to the authorities."
Bud held Steven back and said, "Steven, we don't want to retaliate with more violence. This boy needs help and we will see he gets it, but for now we need to tend to Sam."
They marched Jason down the hill to where Sam lay. Christina looked up at the men with tears streaming down her face she stood and lunged at Jason. "I prayed for your soul and now I am fighting off the urge to shoot you myself."
Linda and Amy were standing watching with a look of shock clearly showing on their faces. Amy was crying and said, "Why Jason?" She turned away from her brother and fell onto the ground grief stricken at what her brother had done. Linda went to her daughter to give her comfort, but Christina turned away and returned to Sam. "Father, I ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus, to please allow Sam to live. We need him.....Lord, I need him."
