Are They Ready For This?

After Sam went airborne, Bill got back into the truck and headed to the shop. While driving, he decided that he was going to stop by ol' man Auers farm. He wasnt too far from it. For some reason, Bill just knew that he needed to go to that farm. After the events of the other day, with the tremor and wrecking his truck the other guys wanted to just skip this farm, but Bill had it in his heart that he needed to go out there. Turning onto the same two-track as the other day, Bill grabbed his cell phone and called Amy at the shop. There was no answer and the voice mail picked up. "Hey this is Bill, just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that Sam is in the air and on his way home. I am going to stop out at the Auer farm before returning to the shop. If anything comes up just give me a hollar on the cell."

Back at the shop, MD and Doug were discussing the news of a new pilot to help with the deliverys. "This truely has been a God send."
Doug smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Hey lets just offer up a quick special prayer for our new friend" requested MD.
Once again Doug offered his aggrement to the suggustion.
"Father in heaven, we thank you for our new friends and for Sam. Thank you for bringing us to him and thank you for his willlingness to help us with his plane and his skills. Father we pray that you will put your special blessing upon him and allow him to return to his home safely. We look forward to hearing from him father. We send our prayers to you by way of your Holy son, In Jesus name, amen."
"With that, I have to grab the company flatbed and take care of some unfinished buisness. I will be back in a couple hours." stated Doug

Doug climbs into the truck, checks his mirrors and puts on his seat belt. He inserts the key into the ignition switch and turns the key. Then all of a sudden instead of the truck coming to life, a small trap door above his head opens up and loads of confettii fall down all over him.. Doug grumbles under his breath and then rolls down the window and shout, "BJ.................."
At that moment, Dougs cell phone vibrates and when he answers the phone, he reveals a text message that says, "Gotcha....LOL< LOL< LOL"

"Mo?"
"Hey Devon. What's up?" Mo answered.
"You busy?" the young woman asked him.
"No. Come on in." Mo lay the Bible to the side.
Devon looked uncomfortable. Last night she and Mo both had accepted Jesus as their savior. They had gotten ready for bed, and for some reason it had made them both uncomfortable. They had been sleeping together for over two years, and suddenly it felt wrong. They had both lain in bed, each as far away from the other they could get in the king size bed. Finally Devon had spoken up.
"This isn't right. I can feel it."
"I know." Mo had answered. He had turned his head and looked at her. Suddenly they both smiled, and Mo had gotten up and given Devon a peck on the cheek and left the room.
"I'm sorry about last night." Devon couldn't look Mo in the eye.
"Devon, it's ok. Really. You weren't the only one who felt it was wrong. I guess Jesus was letting us both know that He doesn't approve of our intimate relationship. You know after I left, I asked Him to forgive me for it, and immediately I knew He had."
Devon's head jerked up and she beamed. "Me too. I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear you say that. I tried to go to sleep, but I felt so ashamed. Then I cried out to Jesus to forgive me." Devon heaved a huge sigh. "It felt so good to know that He did."
Mo and Devon both sat there smiling at each other feeling the grace and peace that can only come from Jesus.

He grimmaced at what he heard. He had always known that he should have been the leader of the gang. In his opinion Mo was weak, and this becoming a Christain proved it. He slowly walked away from the doorway, his mind going over what he had just heard. So Devon and Mo wouldn't be sleeping together anymore. He was happy about that. Devon was a beautiful girl and he had always wanted her. Now all he had to do was get rid of Mo, and then he could have control of the gang, and he was sure with a little persuasion Devon would come around to his way of thinking. He started thinking. Mo had another meeting with the leader of the rival gang sometime soon. He would have to follow him and with any luck, an opportunity would present itself to finally get rid of Mo and take his rightful place as leader of the gang.

Another thing he needed to take care of was that little old lady Belle. She had some of the gang members thinking of Jesus and all that stuff. His gang wasn't gonna be weak, reading and believing fairy tales.

Something had to be done about her. She served her purpose in bringing them food, but her preaching had to stop. When he took over he would warn the lady, and if she persisted, he'd have to kill her.

Tansy was excited. Frank had found a small family of believers and they would be going to dinner out at their ranch soon. Frank had taken a huge risk in revealing himself as a believer. True the persecution hadn't begun yet, but it would. She had warned Frank not to take such a risk again. He had agreed his impulsiveness could have ended in disaster. He didn't know what had come over him in the grocery store that day. Maybe it had something to do with the way the two men had eyed his uniform with such distrust, of perhaps the Lord had pressed it on his heart to take the risk. Frank and Tansy both agreed that it was probably the latter, but still Tansy wanted Frank to be careful.
Once the two men had gotten over their shock, they had answered him softly, "Through the Son."
Frank had grinned and said he wanted to talk to them outside where they wouldn't be overheard.
Shade and Trevor had quickly checked out at the cashier, and Frank had finished picking up the things Tansy wanted. By the time he had finished in the store, Shade and Trevor were standing at a pickup with the hood up. Frank had offered his assistance, and the men had quickly become friends. I the fifteen minutes they had pretended to work on the truck, they had each given their testimonies, and Frank and his wife had been invited to dinner. They all agreed that any further contact in town would not be a good idea, so any meetings would be out at the ranch. Frank would have to be careful and make sure he wasn't followed, so as not to endanger Shade and his family.
When Frank had gotten home he had told his wife about the chance meeting. Immediately Tansy had gone into a panic. After spending considerable time reassuring her, Tansy had become excited. Frank had told her about the invitation to dinner, and Tansy, starved for feminine companionship had immediately sent an e-mail to Maddie, Shade's wife.
The two women had quickly become e-mail friends and Tansy looked forward to meeting her.
In the mean time Frank was still trying to feel out if there were any other Christains at the Education Center. He was almost certain that two of the men that worked for him were, but was still trying to figure out a way to find out for sure.
He had spoken to his mother Belle everynight and when he found out about her mission trips in the city, he had almost had a heart attack. But his mother had been adament about taking the gospel to as many souls as she could before her heart gave out. Frank had spoken to Leon and the boy assured him that Belle would not budge. Finally Frank had given his worry about his mother to the Lord, and amazingly enough, he felt that his mother was indeed doing the Lord's will.
Frank looked over at his wife as she spoke on the phone with his mother. How he wished he had given his heart to Jesus before the rapture. How he wished his wife and mother had done the same. He knew that he would loose his mother soon, and gazed at his wife. He knew the odds of both of them making it to the end of the tribulation were slim, but that was his prayer. The Lord had given him a new stronger love for his wife and mother. They were both precious to him and he hated the thought of losing either of them.
He also knew that to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord. It was really confusing to think about. He had even thought about if he was the one to lose his life. He hated the thought of leaving Tansy alone. When they went out to the ranch, he planned to ask Shade and his family to take Tansy in if anything happened to him. He hadn't told Tansy his plans, but knew that she probably hadn't thought about it yet. Unfortunately it was a reality they would have to face. One, or both of them may not make it to the end of the tribulation.

Bill was traveling slowly down the narrow lane and knew that he was getting close to his destination. Wandering off in his thoughts, he didnt see that deer run out in front of him. Just as he caught a glimps of the deer, he swerved to miss it and, BAM...... drove right into another big oak tree. Steam started rolling out from under the hood. He knew this time he was in trouble, he didnt have his friends with him, he was out here in no-mans land all by himself and now he's stranded. Bill retrieved his cell phone out of its holster and noticed that there were no bars on his antenna. He tried to call the shop anyway but kept getting an out of service message.

Tori finished placing the order to MD and Amy's machine shop. She sat back with a satisfied sigh. She stood up and walked into the kitchen. Her Aunt Maddie was in the kitchen fixing dinner, and Tori walked up behind her and gave her shoulder a tap.
"Anything I can do to help?" she asked.
"You can get the rolls out of the oven." Maddie gave her a smile.
Tori grabbed a pot holder and opened the oven. The smell of fresh baked rolls became stronger and Tori breathed the smell in. Pulling the rolls out of the oven she set the pan on the cooling rack. She glanced out the window and saw her brother and cousin walking back to the house from the barn. She saw Matt shove Nathan and the two boys began chasing each other around in the yard. Tori let out a laugh when Matt went sprawling.
Maddie walked over and looked out the window to see what Tori had laughed at. Seeing the two boys she looked at Tori and gave her a smile.
"Go tell those boys to get in the house and get cleaned up. Dinner is in five minutes."
Tori nodded and headed for the door. Suddenly she stopped, turned around and caught Maddie in a hug. "I love you Aunt Maddie."
Maddie hugged her back. "I love you too, Tori."
Maddie watched Tori walk out the door, her mind on the young girl. She seemed so sad at times. She really needed to sit down with the girl and find out what was bothering her.

Excitedly Amy grabs the phone and pages MD to the office. A couple of minutes later MD enters the room and asks his wife, "Whats going on?"
Amy so exited that she can barely contain herself starts rambling on 60 miles per hour.... "Woe girl, slow down, I can hardly understand a word your saying."
Amy takes a couple of deep breaths, "I am going to contact Sam and once Bill gets back, we are starting to get orders so fast that I don't know if we can keep up with them. God has put it on the hearts of many people to use the services of this shop and we have orders coming in so fast that I dont know how in the world we will ever get them dispatched."
With a smile on his face, MD bends over and gives his wife a kiss on the cheek and tells her, "It will be ok, I promise. God is in control. He knows who needs what , and when they need it. Just print the orders and the Lord will lead us on how to handle and prioritize them."
"Oh thats why I married you, you are always the cool head around here."
MD chuckles and as he is walking to the door, "Ya, I may be the cool head around here, but if we ever need an enforcer, you have that job hands down..." both of them break out into laughter as MD exits the room....

“Sonar Conn, missiles 400 yards and closing”
Joe lifted the GA microphone “All hands brace for impact.”
Everyone grabbed a table or pole with both hands then bent their knees ready for the explosion that was coming. Many men bowed their heads and ask God to be with them and their families. Some started to cry and others just laughed not ready knowing what to expect.
The explosion was powerful, the rudder was blown clear of its seals, the large brass propeller spun off the shaft went 20 feet and sank. The crew in the aft torpedo room felt it first.
First thrown up into the air then driven back down in a matter of seconds. The shock wave ran throw the sub where everyone was tossed like rag dolls.
Gage glass busted, water lines busted, cabinets bolted to the deck were ripped from their rest and tossed like an old soda can. The outside structure bowed and bent.
The sound that echoed throughout the metal tube the men called their home was deafening. Men not worried about falling or hitting something placed their hands over their ears. All electrical power shut down from the overload sending the inside of the Israel submarine Samuel of Ramah into darkness and then it was over.

Above the ocean floor, above the watery grave many sailors called Davy Jones Locker and above the salt water that God’s creatures called fish swam freely, above all this, two GF Naval vessels burned and exploded as the flames reached the ammo magazines.
Many men who once thought of a better life, a better world now faced death as they fell into the diesel fuel coated water.
Close to 300 men died within seconds as the two harpoon missiles hit the first ship. The second ship just three hundred feet behind the first couldn’t maneuvered quick enough and plowed into the first just as the first magazine touched off.
If any man could have witnessed the event they would have seen three souls out of 467 rises up into the clouds. As far as the rest, Satan would be sending his troopers to gather those who made the wrong choice.

On the Ranch

Travis jerked awake. He rapidly blinked his eyes, but still couldn't focus. His skin burned with fever, and he had never felt so weak.
He could hear somebody speaking softly and it took every ounce of energy to turn his head to the voice.
A young girl sat by his bedside, her eyes closed. "Please Lord." she said.
"I don't... believe." Travis whispered.
The girl's eyes flew open. "You're awake." She made a motion with one of her hands and Travis saw someone move in the corner of his eye. He didn't have the energy to turn his head and continued to look at the girl.
"My name's Kristen. Maddie told us your name is Travis. You sure have us all worried. We've been praying for you to get better."
"I dont believe." Travis whispered again.
Kristen reached and brushed his hair off his forehead and lay a cool cloth on it. Travis saw the scars on her arms, and when his vision focused for a few seconds he saw the scars on her face.
"What happened to you?" he whispered.
Kristen looked at him blankly, then looked at the scars on her arms. "Oh. Those. I was kidnapped by a pedophile when I was four. He and his friends abused me for years. One of his friends really liked to hurt me."
Travis could feel something like rage building in his chest. He gave a slight shake of his head. "Not right." he grunted. "Jail?"
"No. Mikey and Antony are dead. They await judgment. Earl and Leon are still alive, and Louis is in jail...I think."
"Judgement?" Travis wheezed.
"Yes. They died without Christ, and now await judgement. When the tribulation is over Jesus will judge them and then throw them into the Lake of Fire because of their rejection of His gift."
When Travis looked confused, Kristen continued. "Jesus left His throne in heaven and became a man. He lived a sinless life. He fulfilled the Law, and then He was slain. The perfect Lamb of God, who bore no sin, took our sins upon Himself and took our punishment. His death on the cross was God's justice for all mankind. He loves us so much, He sent His own Son to die in our place. Then three days later, He raised His Son from death and defeated it. That is His gift to us. He gave us a way into His presence through His Son. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can now pray to God and He hears us. When we die, those that have accepted His Son as our personal savior, we will be able to go to heaven, because the blood Jesus shed for us washed all our sins away. It's like we never sinned."
Travis lay on the bed thinking. He felt his heart jump. He jerked and looked at Kristen. "Scared." he said.
Trevor looked up from the moniters. He looked at Kristen and shook his head. "I don't know. He's fading. His vitals are getting weaker. I've done everything I can. The infection is running rampant. All we can do is pray. I'll go tell the others."
Kristen looked at Travis and a tear coursed down her cheek. She couldn't bear the thought of this man whom she had prayed so hard for going to hell.
"Please Lord. If it is your will that this man die, please let him die with You as his savior."

Christina looked up from her notepad to see Shannon walking towards her, "You have any more ideas I can email to Amy?"
"I've been writing as fast as I think of something. We can do this, Shannon. We can send food all over the world for all those that are believers in Christ. Amy said MD is working on sort of box with a parachute that would deliver the supplies. This is so awesome."
"Amy is so excited about all the orders she's receiving, but we have to get the planting finished so we can supply what we promised. Kerri still out in the garden?"
"Oh yes, he and Jason were out there first thing this morning putting in potatoes, green beans, corn, and every kind of vegetable you can think of. As soon as we get the new system so we can also grow indoors, we'll be rolling."
"Give me what you've got so far and I'll send it to Amy. By the way, have you heard from Sam?"
"He called when he got in the air and said he was headed to somewhere in California. He will be home tomorrow," she said with excitement in her voice.
"I bet you miss him. I know I miss Kerri if he is gone for even for a few hours. I'll get this sent to Amy," Shannon said as she headed back to the computer.
Alexis joined them in the room and picked up her laptop to check the seismology website. She had been exhausted and spent a few hours catching some sleep. She was so thankful for all these wonderful people she now called her friends.
Kerri walked in from outside and looked like he'd been rolling in the dirt. Shannon started laughing and Kerri shot her darts, "Oh, you think this is funny since you've had me slaving all day. You try working that stupid tiller. Don't know where Steven found it, but it's ancient and kept dying on me."
Shannon continued laughing, "Oh, yeah, well you could be doing it with a hoe so be grateful for whatever tools you have available. Besides, you look kinda cute all dirty....like you've been playing in the dirt with your toy cars."
Kerri shot her another look and burst out laughing himself. "I think I'm going to get cleaned up before dinner. You go on and laugh, but you'll be out there helping me soon enough."
"Did you leave Jason out there by himself to work?" Christina asked.
"No, I thought he had come in a long time ago," Kerri answered.
"We haven't seen him. Amy has been working on blankets all afternoon, I'll ask her if she's seen him."
Christina found her Mother and Amy working on the blankets and the baby clothes and asked, "Have either of you seen Jason?"
They both answered, "No."
"Maybe he went somewhere with Steven. I know they brought a load of stuff in a little while ago and said they were going back to check a couple of other farms to see if they could get more of whatever they thought they could use," Christiana replied. She turned and left to go back into the main room.
Amy gave Linda a fearful look then said, "You don't think he's gone again? I certainly hope not. He hasn't seemed to be in his trances lately, but we thought once before he had changed."
Linda tried to reassure her, "Amy, we have to have faith that Jesus will take care of him and keep knocking on his door. He has heard and it's up to him whether he makes the choice to be on the side of truth or he goes back to the lie. You are NOT responsible for his actions. We can only pray for him."
Amy shook her head and laid down her sewing and started praying for her brother. "Father, please save Jason. He can be good, I just know it. He knows Jesus died for our sins and came to earth to be a sacrifice so that we might have eternal life with You. Please keep the demons from him. In Jesus' name I pray, amen."
Linda looked at her sympathetically then said her own prayer. Where was Jason and what on earth could he be doing? "Lord, keep watch over us and protect Jason," Linda finished her prayer.
