Bob looked at Leon.
Leon threw himself onto the hotel bed. "I'm so tired," he said to Bob.
It had been a long trip, but they were finally at New York.
"Tell me about it," Bob said, "But tomorrow we have to go shopping. We're in New York! We have to!"
Leon just looked at Bob. "Well, I'm going to bed."
Bob just looked out the window. He was tired and hungry, but he would take care of that tomorrow.

Austin and Doug had just finished erecting the new antenna and booster. Austin had been working for most of the night assembling the most powerful transmitting device that he had ever set to work on. With Amy at the mic, Austin told her to give it a try.
"Delta fabor niner three zero, do you copy, I repeat Delta Fabor niner three zero, do you copy?"
There was no reponse.....
"Delta fabor niner three zero, do you copy.."
"A.Y Th.s Bi.. Can Y.o He.r me, Ov.r"
"Bill, BIll this is Amy are you Ok? What is your location, are you a downed aircraft?"
"Y.ur bre.king Up, I can bar.ly un.er.tand y.u?
"Bill are you OK? What is your location?
Then the transmission went dead.
"Austin, what can we do to get this transmission working better?"
"Give me a few minutes, I think I have an idea"
"Oh please hurry, we know that Bill is alive, but we have got to find him. While your working on this, Im going to contact Sam to let him know that Bill is still alive."

Austin came running back in, full of joy. He annouced that he has modified his GPS unit to follow a radio frequency. "Amy, try and contact Bill again, and if I'm right I can tune into the frequency that Bill is broadcasting from and we will have an exact GPS location on him."
After several attempts, Austin was finally able to lock onto Bill's radio frequency and mark a GPS location on him.
With absolute excitement in the air, Amy immediatly contacted Sam and passed the cooridinates to him.
Recieving the good news, Sam eased forward on the throttle pushing the plane to the maximum limits. Sam sent a message back to Amy to let her know that at his present speed he would be in the area where Bill is located in about 3 hours flight time.
Sam calculated the location on his map and realized that there was a small island at the GPS cooridinates.
Thinking to himself, I sure hope there is a place to land and fuel for the return trip maybe in question.
After a long anxious flight, Sam spotted the island. As he started his approach he noticed the reminents of Bills small cargo plane on the beach. Deciding to circle the island a couple of times to get a game plan, he found a small patch of land that looked like a possible landing sight. It looked tight but he was confident in his abilities. "Dear Lord, I know that you are in control, I pray you give me the skill and courage to get this landing perfect. In Jesus name amen"
Making one more pass, Sam decided to go for it. Like an eagle swooping in to catch its prey, Sam touched down with absolute perfection. He pulled the plane to a small grassy area and killed the engines. As he dismounted the plane, he heard a faint voice in the distance. Bill and Connor were running as fast as they could to meet up with there friend and rescuer. Once Bill finally reached teh spot that Sam had been standing, Bill almost knocked him over as Bill applied the biggest bear hug that Sam had felt in his entire life. "We are so happy to see you." Shouted Bill.
Sam was overcome with joy that his friends were ok.
"Bill, I know we have alot to talk about, but there is a big storm coming in and we need to get airborne as soon as possible. And we can catch up on things once we are in the air. I noticed your plane on the beach, how much fuel do you still have in it?"
"My left tank is still full, and my right tank has about 11 inches of fuel."
"Good, help me grab these jugs out of the cargo hull and lets get some fuel."
Between the three of them it took the better part of an hour to haul enough fuel from Bill's plane to Sam's.
Everyone strapped into their seats as Sam finished his preflight checklist and launched the plane effortlessly into the air.
"My friends we are headed home." smiled Sam
Bill grabbed ahold of the mic and called Amy to let her know that they were on their way home. He could hear Amy and the boys at the shop shouting for joy once they heard the news.
They had one stop that had to be made before Bill and Connor could finally get back to the shop. Sam had to stop by his homestead to wrap up some personal buisness, and then Bill and Connor could make the final leg of their journey back to the shop.

Sam landed the plane on the small airstrip with Bill and Connor in tow they jumped into the van heading for the cave. He turned on his cell phone and dialed Steven's number, "Hey, Buddy, I have a big surprise for everyone. Should arrive in ten minutes or less."
Steven laughed, "We got Amy's email and have been sitting on pins and needles. Your lovely bride-to-be has been pacing up a storm waiting to hear something."
"Ooops, should have radioed that we were ok and heading home. My bad. Don't say anything to her.....kinda like to surprise her," Sam said.
"You're on, Sam. See you soon." Steven hung up the phone and looked up to see Bud watching him. He shrugged his shoulders, "What? I'm just following Sam's orders."
"Augh, she is going to be one upset lady. I don't want to be within earshot when Sam gets here. He should have let her know he was ok. They aren't married yet and already acting like an old married couple," Bud teased.
Steven found Christina outside in the garden and quickly diverted her attention away from the road. She had been walking to the road every few minutes watching for Sam to drive up. She turned to Steven with a look of concern, "It's not like Sam to not let me know what time we could expect him home. Amy said he had gone to pick up Bill, but that was hours ago and he should have let me know he found Bill and was heading home. Just wait until I see that Sam Watson again."
"You will just be happy to see him, dear. He has had a lot on his mind so cut the guy some slack," Steven pleaded.
"Yeah, I'll cut him some slack alright," Christina said punching her fist into the air.
Steven roared with laughter. Steven felt his presence before he saw him then he felt a slap on his back and turned to see Sam standing there with a huge grin on his face.
"Hey, good to see you again. I want to introduce my friends to you. This is Bill and his son, Connor. They had a little problem with their plane and ended up on an island in the Caribbean. Don't think they had time to enjoy the beautiful weather and the sandy beach," Sam said.
Christina held her tongue and reached over to shake Bill and Connor's hand, "Glad to meet you. Sam, I would like a word with you.......in private, please."
Sam smiled and leaned down to give her a kiss on the cheek, "Good to see you, darlin'."
Steven stood in between Bill and Connor and said, "Looks as though you two could use a good home cooked meal. I know just where you can get one. Sam, we'll see you inside in just a few."
Sam hung his head, "If I survive the next few moments." He gave Christina a wink and took her hand as they walked away from the group to talk privately. He had been through a lot in the last few hours and he was more afraid of what Christina was going to say than all the danger he had just faced.

They could smell something wonderful coming from the kitchen area and Steven asked, "Are you guys ready for something to eat?"
"You bet. It seems like days since we last had anything to eat. Sam had a couple of granola bars and water that he always carries with him, but it didn't fill up the void. Connor is probably starving," said Bill.
Steven introduced Bill and Connor to everyone and when he got to Amy she looked at Connor as though she couldn't believe someone her age was actually standing before her. She sheepishly shook Connor's hand and directed him to the table. Amy gave Linda a look that said, let me serve their dinner. Linda nodded and handed the plates of food to her.
"Connor, I hope you like fresh vegetables and country fried chicken. Linda's the best cook in the world," Amy said with a smile.
"Oh, yes, I love chicken and thank you very much for your kind hospitality," Connor shyly answered.
Shannon told Bill that she had been in contact with Amy and had just sent an email that everyone was safe and would be back at the shop tomorrow early. Everyone listened as Bill told about their big adventure, Austin being able to locate them, getting enough fuel from the downed plane to make it back to the states. Amy quietly slipped into the seat next to Connor and continued intently watching him.
Bud leaned back in his chair, "Hey, Linda, you think we should send a search party out looking for the happy couple?
"No, I think we need to stay right here and tend to our own business," Linda shot back at him.
"Just wondering, they've been gone an awfully long time. She might have put a whoopin on him and he might need some assistance," Bud laughed.
"You leave it alone.....you hear me or you might be needing some assistance yourself," Linda said with a stern voice.
Kerri held up his hand, "Let's all catch our breath for a moment. We need to thank God for Sam, Bill, and Connor's safe return." Kerri led everyone one in a prayer of thanksgiving for the safe return of their friends. Kerri was just finishing his prayer when Sam and Christina joined the group.
"Thank you for the prayer, Kerri. I am glad to be back with everyone. You all can breathe now, Christina has forgiven me," Sam told them.
Christina gave them a smile, "How could I stay angry with him for very long any way?
Sam looked around the room at his friends, "We have this time together to enjoy each other and rejoice in the rescue of our friends, but every day it becomes more dangerous out in the world. We have a new friend, Andrew, who is going to help us from inside the GFM, but how long he will remain undetected is anyone's guess. Old Satan is gearing up to stop us at all cost. Button down the hatches because we are in for a very bumpy ride."
Shannon put her hand on her growing belly and said, "Our joy will be in the birth of a healthy child and keeping him/her safe until the Lord appears. Jesus still watches over us and although times will be rough, we will have all eternity to be together. Our God is mighty and His power is greater than all so I know that no matter what happens, it is by His design."
Kerri hugged her and everyone said, "Amen."

The night had brought sweet peace and sleep for all those staying in the cave. Alexis was up early checking the radar and National Weather Station for anything that might spoil the day's plans. Shannon and Amy were busy finishing the alterations on the dresses for Linda and Christina. Bill and Connor had been given a room in the very far corner of the cave to insure they would have uninterrupted sleep. Steven had disappeared before dawn to finalize his creation. Linda appraised the dresses and put her stamp of approval on their masterpiece and left to find Christina. All was well and there was a lot of excitement in the air. Sam had called MD and Amy to tell them there would be a slight delay in Bill and Connor's return. He had asked Bill to please stay one more day and Bill had eagerly agreed. They could use a little rest before heading back to the shop.
Alexis had good news and happily told everyone the day would be beautiful. She had watched the screen for any signs of unexpected storms and for the first time in weeks the area would be free of any turbulent weather. She headed for the kitchen area to finish her project and realized she had very little time to create her surprise.
Sam asked Linda if she had seen Bud and she nervously laughed, "No, and I wonder if he skipped out on us. He was clowning around last night and everything seemed okay. You know, Bud. He wants to put a little drama into the day's events."
"Well, I need to make sure he will be at the appointed sight before the sun is fully risen. We were all up in the middle of the night finishing preparations so we can't have him missing in action. I have an idea and I'll be back shortly," Sam told her.
Sam walked up the hill into the woods and found Bud sitting on a boulder with his head in his hands. Sam approached quietly, but not stealth enough to keep Bud from hearing him. He looked up and said, "Sam, I want this more than anything in the world so why is my stomach churning so?"
"Because it's a very important day and you want everything to be perfect."
"I joke around a lot, but Linda has made a huge difference in my life. It scares me to think of the horrors that await our future. We won't have any freedom to roam about or live a normal life. You and I both know we will become the enemy and be hunted down for our beliefs. I've been trained to fight the enemy, but this is an enemy unlike anything we've ever seen. It's just overwhelming to think this joyful day may be the last one we will ever have on earth," Bud sighed.
Sam slapped him on the shoulder, "Let's make the best of this day and forget about all that's happening in the world. If only for a short time, we will make this a memorable day."

A cool breeze was blowing through the trees as the sun shone brightly on the group walking hand and hand through the woods. Coming into the clearing a voice could be heard singing:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Alexis' angelic voice sent chills up their spine as they caught their first glimpse of Steven's creation. There before them was a magnificent display. A cross with flowers draped along the center beam and trailing downward to the ground.
His word shall not fail you - He promised.
Believe Him, and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Steven stood before them with a broad smile while he introduced the two couples to be joined in heavenly matrimony. Sam and Christina........Bud and Linda
Christina and Linda both were wearing simple, yet beautiful dresses, flowers in their hair, and carrying the Bible. Sam and Bud were wearing, oh who cares what they were wearing, but they each had huge smiles on their faces as they watched the women they love walk toward them. The couples joined hands as Steven performed a traditional ceremony. The couples kissed and turned to their friends and asked they bow their heads in a prayer.
"Our Heavenly Father bless these unions. Guide them in the way You would have them to go for the remaining time they have left on this earth. Keep them strong in their faith. Give them the strength to overcome any and all obstacles that will come from the evil that is in the world. We give You all the praise for joining these couples together in holy matrimony. Thank You for Your continued love and guidance. We give them to You today so that Your will might be done. Amen."
They formed a circle around the couples as Alexis began singing.
When you get to Heaven, as you surely will,
If the Savior's Name you own,
After you have greeted those you love the best,
Who are standing round the throne-;
Refrain
You may look for me, for I'll be there,
I'll be there, I'll be there!
You may look for me, for I'll be there!
Glory to His Name!
When you roam with friends across the heavenly fields,
Ever finding treasures new;
When you stand in rapture on some starry height,
Gazing on some glorious view-;
Refrain
When you hear them singing, round the great white throne,
Songs of praise unto the Lamb;
When you hear the ransomed, with their harps of gold,
Shouting, 'Glory to His Name!';
Refrain
When you kneel in worship to the King of kings,
Who has saved you by His grace;
When you see that Savior Who has brought you there,
And with joy behold His face-;

In the distance George could hear someone calling his name.Something heavy was laying on top of him holding him down.He seemed to be in a semi-concious state and he was trying to expell the cobwebs in his head as he tried moving. The door was extemely heavy as he tried to turn towards the sounds he was hearing. He felt bruised all over. As he lay there he slowly started remembering what had happened over the last 24 hours. God had surely sealed him under this door and protected him he thought to himself, as the demons who had attacked him had surely left by now, not being able to see that he was under the door unconscious. "Lord please help me". He called out. The door was a heavy metal door, designed by NASA and was used to secure the basement of the observatory. His strength felt completely zapped at the moment as the pounding on the main door continued. He felt the door rise about six inches off his body and he let his lungs expand taking in air and giving him relief. Checking the other parts of his body, he made sure nothing was broken. He inched his body out from under the door and sat up feeling his head spin. As his eyes cleared he looked around the room. It looked like a tornado had hit. The pounding and yelling continued at the observatory door as he tried standing on his shaky and wobbly legs. Stu was still pounding as he made his way slowly to the door. Stu continued to pound the air even after George aswered the door. "Oh Thank you Jesus, you're okay." he said as he reached out to hug his friend. Goerge mouned from the stiffness and soreness. "What happened here"? Stu asked as he stepped on bits and pieces of glass. "I dont know if you're gonna believe me, but come on in and I'll try to explain." George said. "You wanna tell me what that is on your forehead?" he asked. George felt his forehead but felt nothing. "Probably just a bruise from the door". he told him. "Looks like a wooden cross George". he stated. George took a few steps to the bathroom and flipped on the light. Looking in the mirror he could see what Stu was talking about. " Hey Stu. Come here would you?" Looking in the mirror he could see what Stu was talking about. Stu stepped in the door and looked in the mirror. His mouth dropped open as they both observed the mark on both their foreheads.

Jason tapped lightly on the door and waited for his cue to enter. "Door's open, enter."
Andrew sat at his desk with mounds of paperwork before him. "Ahh, Jason, good morning to you. You made it right on time. I have several things for you to do today. First, I would like you to find boxes to pack all the files into then you and I will sort and pack them. We must be in our new location in two days," Andrew told him.
"Yes, sir. Ready to get down to work," Jason replied with a salute.
"You can see Corporal Henson and he will direct you to the supply room where you can find what you need for packing."
Jason saluted, "Yes, sir. On my way."
Andrew turned back to his computer checking for any new emails from Jerome regarding the plane crash. He found an email from Sam telling him all were safe and would take an extra day for something special he had to take care of. He would let him know when he would be flying Bill and Connor back to the shop. He asked about GFM flight schedules tomorrow and if it would be safe in the air. He sent him back a brief answer that he would check all schedules and let him know first light tomorrow. GFM didn't plan too far in advance so no one could be forewarned.
He switched to the GFM network and checked the flight schedules and noticed two training flights were on the board for late this evening. This could change quickly so he logged into the secure line for all commanders to see what was really going on. He noticed more than two flights were expected over the mid section of the country. They would be doing maneuvers all during the night. Objective......remaining undetected. Andrew looked up to see Jason staring at him.

Emily sat in the exam room waiting on Dr. Nelson to return. "I cant understand why I'm sick every morning for the last couple of months Kevin." I know honey. But we have been so busy with everyone here, we forget sometimes to take care of ourselves." He told her. "I'm surprised you havent caught this yet." she told him. "This might be a little hard for him to catch". said Dr Nelson as he and Sarah walked into the exam room. Sarah had to cover her mouth to keep from bursting forth with the news. Looking at her chart Dr Nelson put on a very serious face. "We ran some test on you and as we suspected the rabbit died." "What does that mean?" Kevin asked with a look of panic on his face. Sarah could'nt help herself. She burst out in laughter. Dr Nelson smiled as he put his hand on Kevins shoulder and handed him a cigar. "Congrats to the new Dad to be." Kevins mouth dropped open as the news began to register in his brain. Tears rolled down Emilys face as Sarah hugged her. "I'm so happy the Lord is allowing me to be a mom, even for a few short years" she cried. Sarah handed her a box of tissues and said, "I would be thrilled if this happened to Daniel and I, but if not eternity will be all we need." Kevin pulled Emily into his arms. "Are you okay? he asked. Should'nt you be in bed? Are you hungry? Here sit down. he told her. Kevin, I'm having our baby, something natural I'll go through and I'm fine." she grinned at him. "Come on Daddy, lets go home." Kevin gave Dr Nelson and Sarah a sheepish grin as they left the office and arm in arm returned to their cabin.
Dr Nelson looked out in the waiting room to see Jonathan and Bridget waiting to come in for her ultrasound. The twins she was carrying wiggled in their confinement. She was now 5+ months along now and felt very heavy. "Are you two ready to look at your babies?" Sarah asked as she called them into the exam room. Sarah noticed that Bridget was looking tired. "Are you still taking you vitamins?" she asked Bridget. "Every day" Bridget said."The babies just keep me up all night and sleep all day. They have their times mixed up I think." she said. Sarah helped her up onto the exam table as Dr Nelson walked in. "Ready to start Bridget?" he asked.
As Dr Nelson started the procedure Jonathan sat down next to Bridget and squeezed her hand. Bridget lay flat as Dr Nelson ran the doppler over her stretched out abdomin. "Heart beats are distinct and strong." smiled Dr Nelson. They all watched in amazement as the images appeared. Both babies sucked their thumbs and tried to turn over as they felt the presuure of the doppler on their mother. "The babies have really grown over the past month and they look really healthy. Their space is becomming a little confined I see. We will probably go ahead and induce your labor in about 8 weeks or sooner. How does that sound?" he asked them both. " Like a blessed relief." she told them grinning. Everyone laughed with understanding. "Well, We'll wait and see how they grow over the next month okay?" he asked. "Fine Dr Nelson.Sarah will you scedule us for our next appointment?" he asked. "Come on out to the desk while Bridget gets dressed." As they left the room, Sarah turned to Jonathan and said, "Keep an eye on her the next couple of weeks. Shes growing faster than the garden." she chuckled. "Oh you know I'll be watching her closely".he answered. "It seems like its been so long since we've seen or heard little children." she told him. " I'm going to be a dad." he told her with amazement in his voice. "What a Blessing. Thank you Lord". he spoke.
