Are They Ready For This?

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Belle finished packing up everything she thought she would need in the bathroom and moved on to her bedroom. She saw called out to Kristen and the young girl came running. "Yes?"
"I've finished packing up the bathroom. If you could get one of the boys to carry it to the car?"
"OK." Kristen said happily. She ran to the edge of the stairs and bellowed for Mo.
Belle jumped and then smiled. Kristen was so full of joy it just flowed out of her. She watched the young girl run down the stairs still yelling for Mo.
Belle walked into the bedroom she had shared with her husband and paused for a moment. She looked arond the room and saw so many memories, memories of her husband and son. She could remember waking up with the feeling that someone was watching her to see Frank Jr. as a young boy quietly whispering if he could sleep with her because the thunderstorm scared him. She could see her husband sitting on his valet putting on his shoes. She could see Frank Sr.and Frank Jr. wrestling on the bed, so many memories. She walked to the window that overlooked the backyard and gazed out. Looking at the swingset in the backyard she pictured her grandson Max swinging as high as he could, and sliding down the slide.
Belle's thoughs were on the past when she thought of Leon. She hadn't seen the boy in days, and she wondered if he would come back. That was one of her main arguments with Mo and Raul. What if Leon came back and found her house empty? Would he think to look at the estate outside of town or would he just assume that her heart had given out?
Mo and Raul insisted that she move to the estate with them. Both men hated the thought of her being alone in the city. With Trevor's report that her heart would probably give out soon, both men had begged her to live at the estate. They wanted to take care of her when the time came. Belle had finally given in to the boys pleas, with the condition that she could still continue her ministry as long as she was able. Mo had gathered her into a hug, "I wouldn't have it any other way Belle." he had said.
"Belle?" Raul said softly from behind her.
"Yes dear?" she said turning to face the young man.
"Are you ok? Do you want me to get Trevor?" Raul asked.
"No child. I'm fine. Just an old lady gathering wool over old memories." Belle smiled. She stepped to the bed and began to fold the quilt.
Raul helped her fold the quilt, and put it in one of the boxes. They continued to work together in silence, and Kristen and Mo came in the room. In short time they had the room packed up and both men carried the boxes to the car. Belle sat on the edge of the bed and took a deep breath. Kristen plopped down beside her and wrapped her arm around her. Leaning her head against Belle's shoulder said softly, "It'll be alright Belle, just give it to the Lord."

What seemed to take five hours but really was only three, the crew of the Samuel of Ramah had the submarine ready to sink. All personnel had been moved over to the Ross except for Joe, Ben and two engineers that had the job of setting the charges on the main values. Once these charges went off and destroyed the valves and outer seals the sub would sink like a rock. Earlier the crew had gone through from bow to stern ensuring all doors, hatches and scuttles were wired open. The Chief Engineer figured it would take approximately 30 minutes once the explosives went off for the sub to sink out of sight.
“Ben, what is the status of the Popeye’s?” Joe asked over a handheld radio
“I’m opening the last panel now. Once the seawater hits these boards, these birds I guarantee will never fly again.”
“Copy, once you’re done you and I will move to the Ross.”
“Copy sir”
Ben was in tube 5 seating on a 8” line between the missile and the tube liner. He worked on removing the eighty eight small screws that held the panel door tightly closed and sealed.
“Lord, I want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family. Since the first time I read your word I have never felt at peace with myself or anything like I do now. Jesus, I am so sorry I didn’t believe all the Christians I had met over the years. I just always believed and was told that you where a terrorist to our nation many years ago. Father, please forgive me for denying your son and thank you for loving me. Amen” Ben started to whistle as he twisted each screw out.
Cline bang… bang Ben looked down and watched his radio free fall down the tube to the bottom and smash. “Man I sure am glad I didn’t fall, 15 feet is a long ways.” Ben laughed
Joe was standing on the main deck and could feel the sub starting to rock a little more from the waves. “Come on Ben, hurry” he said to himself looking at his watch.
The two last Engineers came up on the main deck and walked over to Joe. “Sir, all charges have been placed and set to go off in 20 minutes.”
“What? Who said to set the timers?” Joe scream
“Sir, it was discussed that the charges would be set for 1830 hours.”
“That was a general time we were shooting for, not made in stone; I have one man down below opening up some important equipment. Can you stop them?” Joe asked
“Negative sir, you need to get your man out of there and everyone needs to get over on the Ross.”
A frighten look fell over Joes face as he yelled into his radio. “Ben, we have a problem… Ben you copy?” Joe checked his radio dials and yelled again even louder. “Ben, Ben this is Joe, you hear me?” Nothing
“Oh God, what do I do?” Joe looked around
Jack was standing on the bridge wing of the Ross watching the operation. He sensed something wrong and yelled at Joe.
Joe hearing Jack, turned and starred at his new friend.
“Something is wrong” Jack shouted to the bridge crew as he started to run down the ladders that took him to the main deck.
Ben whistled and smiled as he pulled out the tenth screw and knew he had only 78 more to go.
“Man this cordless drill beats a hand tool any day” he told himself
Joe looked over at the vertical launch tube hatches and saw they were opened but two. Number 3 and 5 was still sealed shut. What number did Ben say he was on? Joe ran over to the hatches and started to look down each one.
“Ben you down there” he shouted
Jack got to the main deck and yelled at Joe.
“What is wrong?”
Joe looking over at Jack shouted back what had happen.
“Oh dear God” Jack said as he looked for the whale boat. It was along side the sub picking up the two engineers. “Oh crap” Jack said as he pulled his cigars out of his shirt pocket and handed them to a young seaman. “Son you smoke one of these or break one, I’ll have your strips.”
Jack then looked once at the water then jumped in.
BONG, BONG, BONG “Man overboard, man overboard, portside” The general announcing system sounded
Jack popped out from below the water and started to swim.
Lines, life rings and smoke buoys started landing in the water between the sub and the ship. Jack pushed them away as he swam for the sub.
Getting to the edge, he had no idea how he was going to get up on the main deck. For some reason he thought the deck was lower in the water and that he could just climb onboard.
Joe hearing the alarm sounding and hearing the yelling ran over to the edge and saw Jack floating in the water trying to climb out. Grabbing a rope, Joe tossed it and slowly pulled Jack onboard.
“What are you doing? This sub is going to blow in less then 20 minutes.” Joe yelled at Jack
“Don’t yell at me, I am in charge here”
“In charge of what; your own death? Sir you need to get off here now”
“Not happening Joe, now where is Ben?”
“Tube 5 I think, the hatch is closed so I can’t look down it.”
“Can you bang on it, maybe signal him” Jack asked as he picked up a spanner wrench as they ran to the hatch cover.
“On the sub, you have 8 minutes to clear the sub” The PA said.
“8 minutes, that was a short 20 minutes” Joe said as they reached the tube.
“That’s Hank giving his ship a little time to clear the area.”
Jack started to bang real fast on the hatch cover.
“Wait a minute, let him answer” Joe said grabbing Jacks arm.
Both men stopped and listened for a yell or bang.
Nothing

Hank looked at his watch then spoke into the PA microphone. “You have 4 minutes then I will have to pull the ship away for the protection of my crew”
Jack waved signaling he hear the request
“How about from inside, can we reach the lower hatch?”
“No, it’s on the bottom deck, it would take to long.” Joe answered
“How about opening the cover?”
“The pump is shut down… Wait we can manually open it from here.” Joe said as he looked around for the small hand pump. “There next to the tower, that small door has the manually pump.”
Joe ran over and opened the door then turned the small valve allowing the oil to bypass the large pump. He stuck the handle in the hole and started to pump. After about 20 pumps the lid slowly moved a half inch and they still needed two inches to clear the seal.
Sweat was pouring from Joe as he pumped with his right hand then his left. “Please Lord; let us get Ben out of here in time.”
As the lid lifted up pass the seal, Jack got down on his knees and shouted for Ben.
No reply was heard
“Are you sure he is in this tube?” Jack shouted at Joe.
“No, he must be in the next one.” Joe looked at the valve board and moved the lever to tube 3 and started pumping again.
“Jack, I have to pull the ship away now” Hank Beebe said
Jack waved again
Hank watched a few seconds later then told the bridge crew to radio the whale boat to follow the ship out away from the sub. He then told the Leehelm “All ahead 2/3 speed, Conn take us 800 yards out and hold that spot.”
Neither Jack nor Joe watched as the haze Grey Ship slowly pulled away.
“Come on Joe pump” Jack said as he watched the hatch lid slowly rise.
Jack could feel the air blowing out of the tube when the deal finally broke. A few more seconds he waited before he placed his face next to the large lid and shouted once again for Ben.
No reply
“Ben, get out now” Jack shouted a second time
Joe stopped pumping and ran to where Jack was. He to got down and started to yell but no one answered.
The tears filled Joe’s eyes as he knew he had lost his second shipmate and close friend in just a matter of days. How much more would he have to bear before the Lord took him he wondered?

Everyone was settled in and Sam prepared the plane for take off, "Kerri, maybe you can enjoy this flight more being awake," he joked.
"I'm sure it will be much easier on everyone this time," Kerri laughed.
Shannon snuggled up to her husband and laughed, "You know what they say, it's always better the second time around."
Jason joined in, "Now that I'm out of my trance it will be easier to enjoy everything in God's world."
Bud looked at Jason and smiled, "Well, I must say that's an improvement over your usual brooding manner. Sam, this flying could become addictive. The world looks better from up here."
"Oh yes, I love flying and the peace that comes with it. Bud, look below, is that what I think it is?"
Bud looked down at the highway below, "Sam, looks like troop movement with tanks and armored trucks. What do you suppose they are doing in this desolate area? Fort Leonard Wood isn't that close, but maybe that's where they're headed."
"I don't know where they're headed, but I noticed tanks when I was flying over Colorado and then the GF Airforce tailed me for a while. Think things are going to be changing and soon. Shannon, when we get back maybe you can catch all of us up to speed on what's been happening in the world. Seems we've had our own little drama and forgot what was going on elsewhere," Sam remarked.
"No doubt we've been out of the loop for a while. Alexis has been doing a good job watching websites and getting the news. She has been a great addition to our little family," Shannon told them.
"We will have a lot of work to do when we get back. The gardening has suffered over the last 24 hours. We promised Amy we would have things up and running soon and be able to fill her orders. Linda and Amy have been sewing up a storm blankets and clothes so we will have that to offer, too. Anything we can do to help survivors will be our main objective. I will have to be gone probably two or three days a week making deliveries, but we all have something to contribute and I'm thankful I can help," Sam said.
Sam radioed Steven they were about to land and would be home very soon. It was going to start getting harder to enjoy the freedom they have known the last few months. Sam sighed and felt his heart sink at the thought of those that would have to suffer beyond measure. If only they would turn from their evil ways and accept Christ as their savior, the suffering would at least give them the reward of being with God for all eternity.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Belle hugged Kristen and Tori. She was really going to miss the two girls. Trevor had pronounced Skunk on the road to recovery and had advised Belle on what to do when her heart acted up. She looked over and saw her son Frank talking to Trevor getting further advice on how to help his mother. Frank and Tansy had arrived earlier that morning to find Belle with a house full of kids and young adults ranging from early teens to mid twenties. There had been thirty people helping pack up her house, and moving her belongings to the estate outside city limits.
Frank had informed his immediate supervisor Jerome of his mothers health problems and had been surprised at his reaction. Jerome had been genuinely concerned and aked if there was anything he could do. Frank had been surprised and just asked for a few days to go and see her. Jerome had told him to take as much time as he needed.
"Do you think he's a Christian?" Belle had asked.
"I don't know. He's Argryos' personal assistant, so I really don't know. I don't see how he could be." Frank had told her.
"Hmmm. Never underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit." Belle had replied.
The last of the boxes had been loaded into various cars, and Skunk had been moved to the estate, so Belle, Frank and Tansy were saying their goodbyes to Trevor, Tori and Kristen.
"We'd better get on the road." Trevor said eyeing the incoming storm. He hoped to be out of the city before it hit.
Belle gave the girls one last hug and Trevor a quick squeeze before allowing Frank to help her into his car.
As they drove away from the house, Belle looked back one last time to see if the Lord had answered her prayers that Leon would return before she left. Seeing no cars turning onto the street from behind them and none meeting them, she sighed and sent up a prayer that the Lord would guide Leon to the estate if and when opened his heart to Jesus.

Things were different for Jerome at GFH ever since he had found Christ. Jerome could literally sense the evil emanating from Teodor's office, and he had trouble keeping a professional and "devoted" face on while around the Potentate. Knowing that your boss and the leader of the world was the Antichrist is difficult to deal with, but Jerome was getting to know Christ, and he could sense the Lord's peace and protection over him every time he went to work.

Jerome also found himself genuinely caring about the other believers in the world, even people he didn't know. He was working hard on an untraceable internet connection in his home so he could connect to a website his employee Frank had mentioned: Tribsurvivors.com. Jerome had to restrain himself from going online immediately because he knew it would be risky, especially from his current position near the Potentate. He needed to be positive his connection was secure and untraceable, but he didn't want to create any suspicion either...he needed to make himself look completely innocent and naive, just how the Potentate viewed him.

Jerome worried for Belle, Frank's mother. He had never met the woman, but Frank had described her as a wonderful, loving woman with a huge heart for serving others. Frank had been careful to not mention anything about Christ due to Jerome's close connection to the Potentate and a fear of Jerome reporting him, but Jerome could sense the brotherly connection through Christ that they shared...he could see the new light in Frank's eyes, the light he hoped he was projecting too.

Teodor had been getting angrier and angrier at the Two Witnesses, sending Jerome on countless missions to set up snipers, explosives, terrorists...anything he could think of to destroy the two "men". Jerome carried out his orders without complaint because he knew Teodor couldn't destroy them until the "due time" (something Jerome had stumbled upon after he had asked God to reveal to him just why the Potentate so badly desired to destroy them), and that only Teodor could kill them personally. Jerome initially feared Teodor would go a little too overboard and order an airstrike or a nuke attack on the site, but he then realized Teodor was still too new to his job; breaking the peace treaty with Israel by nuking the Wailing Wall would create havoc and it wasn't something that was mentioned in the bible.

Another person Jerome had been getting to know was Teodor's mother, Mrs. Argyros. She was the polar opposite of Teodor: a kind, loving, gentle woman with a heart of gold and motherly affection. It confused Jerome because he couldn't understand how Teodor could become the man he was under the care of such a wonderful woman...but after some thought, he realized God had chosen Teodor long, long ago to fill this role, and Satan had been working on him his entire life, and Teodor had chosen to follow the stupid snake. Jerome actually began to wonder if the woman was a Christian, but he knew it would be very risky to ask her, for she tended to chatter to her son about her day whenever she got the chance...and Jerome's question would be certain to come up, making Teodor suspicious. Jerome decided to casually ask her what happened but leave Christ out if it, praying she would mention the Rapture as a possibility.

Jerome craved the attention of other believers, and he prayed that the Lord would send many into his life so they could work together through these last years of humanity...Jerome wanted to be used as a part of God's plan, and he prayed God would use his role near the Potentate to the advantage of the other believers.

Frank was a start (despite Frank not even knowing Jerome was a Christian)..."keep em' coming Lord". :pray

On the Ranch

Trevor and the girls had barely stopped in front of the house when Matt and Nathan came barreling out the door.
"Are you guy's ok?" both boys shouted.
Maddie and Shade appeared on the porch followed by Zoe.
"Yeah, we're fine." Trevor answered confused.
"Why didn't you answer your cell?" Maddie chastened him.
"It didn't ring...at least I didn't hear it ring." Trevor answered. He and the girls had put in CD's and turned the volume up and sang along to the songs at the top of their lungs for most of the five hour trip. "Why? What happened?"
"An F5 tornado hit Oklahoma City about four and a half hours ago." Nathan shouted as he jerked his sister into a hug that threatened to break her ribs.

Leon lifted his head and stared at the TV screen with bleary eyes. He couldn't comprehend what the reporter was saying his mind was so muddled by drugs. He chin dropped to his chest as he began trying to load the needle again. The needle fell from his numb fingers and he saw a hand pick it up. It quickly loaded the drugs and he saw the needle disappear into one of his veins. The drugs hit his system and Leon's head lolled back on his neck, and he fell back on the bed. He turned his head and saw the carnage and destruction left in the wake of the tornado that had ripped through Oklahoma City.
"Okla....Cit..." he mumbled. There was something in the city.... Or someone...... Someone important.....
"It's ok baby. You're in McAlester. The twister hit OKC." Leon rolled his head weakly and saw the woman sitting on the edge of the bed. She had the needle in her fingers and Leon watched as she injected herself.
"Someone..." he mumbled. His thoughts were fragmented and disjointed. He forgot what he was trying to remember as the drugs took complete hold of his mind.

Ronald (Earl) Myers counted heads and went through roll call. The students were anxious to get on the road. This would be their first assignment at keeping the peace. When the principal had come into the classroom that morning he had announced that the more advanced students would be sent to Oklahoma City to help. Their jobs were simple. They were to patrol the city, and arrest anyone seen looting and assist the local GFPD with riots.. They had each been given riot gear, and their eyes gleemed with excitement.
Ronald was going along to supervise the students, and assign them to where ever the locals needed help the most. He took his seat at the front of the bus. They were a few miles outside of Tulsa when one of his male students sat down beside him. They had been making small talk for several minutes when Ronald felt the boys hand on his thigh. Jerking his leg away Ronald shot a quick glance around to see if anyone had noticed.
The principal was watching him with interest. The principal grinned at him and gave him a thumbs up.

On the Ranch

After unsuccessfully trying to reach the group in Oklahoma City all night, Shade had decided to make the trip to check on Belle, Mo and the rest. After discussing it for a few minutes it had been decided that Trevor would stay at the ranch with Travis. Everyone else had quickly packed their bags and thrown them into the back of two of the SUV's.
"Are you sure you don't want me to stay?" Zoe asked.
"I'll be fine. You go with Shade and the others."
"But you have the most medical experience. You should be going." Zoe insisted.
"I just feel like the Lord wants me to stay here." Trevor answered.
"Zoe, I prayed about this and I think Trevor's right." Maddie joined them.
"Well...Ok. If that's what the Lord wants." Zoe nodded. She gave Trevor a quick hug and raced out the door.
Trevor walked out onto the porch and watched his family getting into the vehicles. With a jaunty wave they drove away. Kristen and Tori both leaned out the window and shouted, "Take care, and we'll call you when we get there."
"You'd better." Trevor shouted back. With a final wave Trevor turned and walked back into the house.

As the world turns in turmoil and each nation gives up their independence to the new found leader under the heading of Global Family. Many soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines around the globe have decided to fight for their own rights, beliefs and banners. Some because they have no other place to go, others because they feel turning their backs on their country flag is treason and a small few know what awaits those who joins the antichrist.
Months have passed since that night when millions of people disappeared. In this time, a new friendly leader has emerged on the scene to bring hope and change to all. But for military, it has sent wave of doubt throughout the ranks. Group killings, random murders and whole commands fighting among themselves leaving death and destruction behind.
Global Family Forces have received orders to resupply then head to the area just north of Japan off the coast of former Russia. This fleet and army numbering hundred and thousands steam and fly to be in position so they may start the task of clearing the world of haters, rebels and no conformers.

Task Force “Bright Star” is slowly building off the coast of Chile in the most southern Pacific. A much smaller force in equipment, men and supplies the fighting men and women from all around the world who didn’t turn to the new form of government are coming together. No one is quite sure how the message is getting out or how it is being kept secret from the GF, but the message is clear and finding its way across all airwave.
Men who were stations in England, China, Japan and the Middle East are hearing the message and somehow are finding ways to travel to the staging zone. Ships sailing in all parts of the oceans are steaming toward a place they don’t know why.

Will there be a huge battle once and for all? Will all forces come together to clash out winner take all or might something else happen? A force greater then one could imagine this same force that is guiding each side to their chess piece placement.

Ronald (Earl) had just sent the last of the students on their assignments. He looked up from the clipboard to see the principal approaching.
"Ronald. It's been awhile since we've had a chance to talk." he said.
Ronald smiled. He was trying his best to act as normally as possible. Since the incident on the bus with the student and the principal's reaction, Ronald was uncertain what exactly was going on. "Yes it had been. With the all the changes it seems everyone is even busier that usual." he replied.
"I've been meaning to ask. How is your brother? Have you spoken with him since the disappearances?"
Ronald was taken aback. "Ernie passed away over two years ago."
The principal laughed. "No. Not Ernie. The other brother...I can't think of his name. It starts with an E..."
Ronald dropped his head, and his heart began to pound. Did he suspect that he had taken over his brothers identity? "Earl." he replied. "His name is Earl."
"Yes, Earl. So, have you been in touch with him?" The principal had a gleam in his eye.
"No. Um...He disappeared with the other people." Ronald lied.
The principal lifted an eyebrow. "Well, isn't that interesting."
Ronald shifted his feet uncomfortably. "What do you mean?"
"Well weren't you certain that Earl was a homosexual? And possibly having relations with his students? I mean if your gay brother, who could have also been a pedophile, disappeared with all the other so called Bible beaters, then his disapearance along with them is proof that it couldn't have been God."
"Huh?" was all Ronald could reply.
"If your brother was gay and sexually abused children, then he openly and heinously sinned against this so called God and he should have been left behind with all the rest of us 'sinners'." The principal sneered the word sinners. "And you're still here. You, who were so pious trying to save the whole faculty, and get us 'saved', you're still here. That's proof that it wasn't what those Christian crazies spent so much time warning us all about. The rapture, isn't that what they called it?"
Ronald couldn't look at the principal, his words echoing in his mind. His brother had suspected he abused his students, had suspected he was gay. Why hadn't he ever said anything to him. He had obviously said something to the principal. Ronald began to get angry. How dare his brother talk about him behind his back. Ronald turned and walked away from the principal furious at his brother.
The principal watched Ronald walk away and began to frown, hatred beginning to curl in his gut. "Hmmm. Maybe I was right."

Brother Aaron stood before Julie and David in the main hall. "I now pronounce you man and wife". he said as he smiled brightly at the bride and groom. Shouts of joy rang out as David leaned forward to give Julie her first kiss as his wife. At first Julie had felt so lost after Lisa left for Isreal, but David had some how filled that void. He was always around to give her a laugh or to encourage her in some way and slowly it had turned to love and they both knew it. It was several months now since Lisa left and Julie had been disappointed that she couldnt fly back for the wedding, but It had not been in Gods plan. The World was changing day by day. But inside the compound it was becoming more beautiful as each day passed. It had become a place of safety and a santuary. Julie and David had seen many people come to the compound, hurting and in pain from wherever they came from. Now they were coming from devistated earthquake areas were they had barely survived but for those that did God certainly had a plan for them. They would all tell their stories of how they were led to the compound. All of the stories amazing. If it werent for the internet, the compound would not have known about the earthquakes, for the ground never moved.

After arriving at the estate, Shade and Maddie were relieved to discover that Belle, Mo, Raul and everyone else was ok. The tornado had run right through Belle's old neighborhood, leaving chaos and destruction in it's wake. Shade had Tori e-mail Trevor that they had arrived safetly and that everyone was ok. E-mail was the only way to communicate as cell towers and phone lines had been twisted and ripped down by the force of the twister. It would probably be several days, possibly weeks before service was restored to the city. Everyone gathered around for a quick prayer of thanksgiving.

"Father, we are so grateful that none of these fellow brothers and sisters in Christ were injured during the storm. Only by Your mercy have they been spared to serve You another day. We lift up this city, and pray that in the wake of the storm that many would lift their face to You and recieve the free gift of salvation that Your precious Son paid the price to give to us all. We ask that You would guide our steps today as we head out into the aftermath to help those who have been injured. Lord we ask for Your healing mercy on all those who have suffered injuries, and we ask not only for physical healing, but mental as well. Comfort those who have lost homes, and businesses. We ask that they realize that though their earthy homes and jobs may be gone, their heavenly home still awaits them if they would accept Your Son as their savior. We ask all this in Jesus name, Amen."

With that everyone climbed into different vehicles to head out into the city to minister, both physically as well as spiritually, to those who had been injured in the storm.

Missouri Ozarks

Linda and Alexis were chatting over coffee, "When I was your age I had already been married five years and Christina was a baby. I met my husband in high school and he was shy and didn't date much. We struck up a conversation during a church hayride and began dating soon after. We dated all through high school and separated briefly when he went away to college. I stayed in our home town and attended the junior college then he decided he wanted to continue our relationship and a year later we were married. I think I married him to get away from home and he married me because I was comfortable. Things changed after we lost our first child. He became cynical and began drinking more and more. When Christina was born I thought he would return to the same lovable guy I married, but the drinking was already more important to him than his family. I took Christina to church while he stayed home, usually from a hangover from the night before. He didn't tolerate any noise and usually Christina was excited when she got home from church wanting to share what she had learned. That's when it started to get really bad. To make a long story short, he committed suicide after hurting Christina so badly I had to take her to the hospital. Frankly, the drinking had taken its toll and he was abusive both physically and verbally. It was hard on Christina, but in many ways I was relieved. Any way, we made it work just the two of us until we joined this new church that had no meat in the sermons......guess you could say we went to a "feel good about yourself church". When the rapture happened we knew immediately we were left behind because we had never really accepted Christ as our personal savior. We found Sam and the rest of the group and the rest is history."
Alexis gave Linda a hug and told her, "I was raised in the church, but I never accepted Jesus either. As a youth, I did things that my friends were doing and refused to attend church with my family. My parents tried to tell me about what Christ had done for us and if I refused to accept the truth of why God sent His only Son, I would be damned for all eternity. I thought I had plenty of time to change. Now I know you must live every day for Jesus and not wait to put your trust in Him. I knew, but was unprepared. What I had planned for my life was not what God had planned. I am thankful for a second chance."
"We all sin and fall short of the glory of God, but through the grace of God we are saved. How many times did you hear that? Until you fully embrace His grace and accept Jesus, we are all lost. Simple, yet we all make it so difficult. Now we can serve Him every day and help all our brothers and sisters in Christ to survive the next few years of tribulation," stated Linda.
They continued talking until Steven joined them, "Sam and the others just touched down at the airstrip and should be here in a few minutes. Bud said to tell you he sure would like one of your delicious meals waiting when he got here."
"It would be Bud asking for something to eat. I was prepared for their arrival so dinner will be ready," Linda said with a chuckle.
Steven walked outside and waited for their arrival. "Thank you, Lord, for delivering our friends safely. We praise You for the healing of Kerri and saving Jason from the demons that have possessed him. We give You all the praise and glory for our very survival. Guide us and keep us faithful through all the rough times that are coming."
He raised his head to see his dear friends coming down the road towards him. "Thank you, Lord."

Amy sent Sam an email detailing the new device Austin had assembled and that he would need to come up soon to have Austin install it on his plane. They would also arrange to have legitimate deliveries made for the GF and be able to disguise the real mission. She stressed that Austin warned of not being able to use the device very often for fear the GF Airforce would soon catch on to their game. She asked how things were going and if they required any assistance. MD asked her to tell Sam that they had all been praying the situation there was not too serious and he would be back in the air soon. Amy finished the email and quickly checked to see if there were any more orders. They had one order in Minneapolis that Bill could handle easily and one that was in Athens, GA which she figured would be a good one for Sam.

MD looked over her shoulder as she read the different emails and gave her a gentle pat on the back, "Amy, you are doing a fantastic job keeping track of the orders and coordinating all the flights. We will need to get Bill to deliver this order first thing in the morning. Have you received any requests from the GF for deliveries?
"No, but I only offered our services this morning. I think it takes a little more time to establish a working relationship with the GF," she laughed.

MD looked up to see Doug and Jim running to the water fountain with their tongues hanging out. He jumped up and ran to see what was going on. "What on earth are you two doing?"
Between big gulps of water Doug managed to say, "There were some brownies on the table......we ate one......my mouth is burning!"

MD bent over laughing and knew exactly what had happened. He could see peeking around the corner BJ laughing so hard he had tears running down his face. BJ had struck once again.

On the Ranch

Trevor gritted his teeth to keep from shouting at Travis. “Look, we took a big risk to help you. The least you could do is thank us for that.”
Travis just glared. “Oh yeah. What risk?”
“When Argryos reveals his true nature, you will have a bulls eye on this ranch and every person on it. When he starts killing as many Christians as he can, you will lead your GF buddies right to us.” Trevor shouted.
Travis sat back in the bed his mouth open in shock. “Wha...?”
“You heard me. When Argryos gives the order, you and your buddies will kill me and my whole family, even though we saved your hide.”
“You think Argryos, I mean the Pontentate is the antichrist?” Travis asked.
“We don’t think it. We know it.” Trevor was still shouting.
“How?” Travis looked as if he truly wanted to know.
Trevor eyed Travis and then picked up a Bible that was laying on the desk. He turned to the book of Daniel and began to read.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and on a corner of the altar desolating abominations, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall be poured on the desolator.
He then went on explain what the covenant was and who with. He explained the signing of the seven year peace treaty with Israel had begun the tribulation period.
Travis sat on the bed and he kept shaking his head in disbelief. Finally when Trevor gave him a chance to speak all he could say was, “My mom was right. This whole tribulation thing is real. It’s really real, isn’t it?”
“Yes, it is. And right now, you’re on the wrong side.” Trevor said quietly.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The order was to kill the old lady. She had been waiting for an opportunity all day. Finally she had a shot. She stepped back into the shadows behind the bus and raised the gun.

On the Ranch

Travis was twisting the threads on the quilt. Changing the subject he asked, “So that girl, the one with the scars.... Was she really, you know, abused?”
Trevor looked down at the Bible in his hands. “Kristen, her name’s Kristen. And yes she was, by several different men. Why?”
“She doesn’t seem angry. If something like that happened to me, I’d hate the world.”
“You should have met her a couple of months ago. She was angry. But then the Lord began to give her dreams, and through those dreams, she found Jesus and accepted Him as her Savior. She’s been a different person since. She hugs, jokes and laughs. She’s joy personified. Before she wouldn’t let anyone touch her, but Jesus has freed her from her past and helped her overcome it.”
“The other girl, Tori, she’s angry. Did the same thing happen to her?”
“She was assaulted while she and her brother were on their way here. Nathan stopped the guy before he could really do anything, but it shook her up pretty badly. It think she’s gotten past it though.” At least Trevor hoped she had. Could that be what was bothering her?
Everyone in the house had noticed Tori’s bad mood lately, but with everything that was happening, no one had had time to sit down with her to discuss what was wrong.
Trevor decided to send and e-mail to Maddie when Travis was asleep for the night and see if she could talk to Tori.
Travis had closed his eyes, and Trevor knew he wasn’t asleep. “So, what are you going to do about being on the wrong side?”
