Are They Ready for This?

On the Ranch the Little House

Trevor nodded as he saw Leon begin to open his eyes.
Shade stepped up beside Belle’s chair ready in case Leon made a move.
Leon blinked his eyes. “Belle?” He questioned.
“Yes dear, I’m here.” Belle said reaching a hand toward him. Shade caught her hand in his before she could touch Leon.
Leon’s eyes went to Shade. “Shade Cooper? Is that really you?”
“Yes.” Was all Shade said.
Leon’s eyes moved back to Belle and he saw the young man sitting in the chair next to her. Squinting Leon asked, “Do I know you?”
“We’ve met.” Trevor answered.
Leon shifted and noticed that his hands were cuffed to the belt at his waist. Frowning he looked at Belle. “Why am I cuffed? Am I in jail?”
“No dear.” Belle answered.
“You’re cuffed so you won’t hurt Belle, or anyone else.” Shade said quietly. “And I’m here to make sure if you do get froggy, it’ll be the last thing you do. Understand?!”
“Shade!” Belle admonished.
“Just giving him fair warning.” Shade said his jaw locked.
Leon shrank back from the look on Shade’s face. “I would never hurt Belle!” He insisted. “Never!!”
Shade just quirked an eyebrow at him.
“What do you remember Leon?” Belle asked quickly.
“I don’t know.” Leon said. He closed his eyes and thought. “I remember being in a room. There was a girl there. I don’t know who she was, but I remember shooting up. Then they came.”
“Who came?” Belle asked.
Trevor sat forward , causing Leon to open his eyes.
“They called themselves Anger, Hate, and….” Leon squeezed his eyes closed as he tried to remember.
“It’s ok dear. Who were they?” Belle encouraged.
“They were ugly. Hideous. I’ve never seen anything so ugly in my life.” Leon’s eyes flew open. “They tried to strangle you!”
“No one tried to strangle me Leon. I’m fine as you can see.” She reached out and patted his hand. “Tell us about these ugly beings.”
“They are kinda gray in color, with short legs, really long arms. They have twisted hands with claws. There faces look like something out of a horror film. Teeth like a shark, but longer like fangs. They always snap them together and click their claws like they want to tear me to pieces.” Leon shuddered at the memory.
“Are they here now?” Trevor asked.
Leon looked around. “No.”
“Good. Tell us what you remember about the last time you saw them.” Trevor urged.
Leon looked at Belle and at her smile continued. “They were telling me to hurt someone. To attack. I didn’t want to. Then one of them tried to choke Belle. I tried to help, but I was chained up. It was gonna kill her.” Leon began to cry. “But then I saw the ghost.”

Sam radioed Amy to let her know he was less than an hour out and would someone be at the airstrip to meet him? She had told him that Doug and Jerry would be there to pick him up and bring him back to the shop. He would need a little rest before his flight to meet the ship. They had sent the coordinates and the time they would be there waiting for the drop. He looked down at the earth below and couldn't imagine anyone thinking this world just evolved into what it is today. His eyes welled with tears just thinking how God had created the world and all that was in it, no way...absolutely no way could it have happened any other way. The rivers that once flowed with the colors of blue and green, now were red. Finding water will be difficult and only pockets of believers were able to gather water into whatever they could find, but those containers will always be full with good drinking water. Praise the Lord they had heard the message and believed.
Sam banked the plane and readied for landing. The landing gear down he began searching the ground for the jeep from the shop and as he made his final approach, the plane began to descend and he spotted the jeep. He would soon see his good friends at the shop and begin preparing for his flight to deliver the cargo to the fleet. "God, be with us all that this mission is successful. The fleet needs the supplies and we need to let them know we are who and what we claim to be. We pray for all those souls on the many ships that they might know Jesus as their savior. Thank You for Amy, MD, and all those working so hard at the shop to provide the supplies the fleet needs to survive. Thank You for my friends and all they do to help me make these trips and for their hard work to grow food, sew clothes, and do all that is required to survive the days before us. I praise Your Holy Name and give you all I have to give. In Jesus name I pray. Amen."
Sam lowered the plane onto the airstrip and taxied to the hanger where Doug and Jerry were waiting.

Ever the murderer, Raven toyed with the gun in his hands. Tonight is the night, he thought. The night I am going to kill Teodor’s mom, Lena. He looked at his watch, and he noticed he had three hours left until the moment of truth…where he would kill a poor, innocent, sweet woman. He remembered all he had been told at work about God and Jesus, and how the Rapture was really the disappearances. Really, he found it hard to grasp the thoughts of those religious nuts.

He smiled, however, He couldn’t completely say they were nuts. A lot of what he was told was very convincing and sounded like it was more than a coincidence. Like, the New World Order? The Antichrist? Babylon? Water turning to blood? It seemed to be too…too true.

**
Raven’s car pulled up right near Lena’s house. He saw the string of guards and just smiled, knowing he was prepared.

The man who came out of the care was the Raven that’s face usually showed up on “Most Wanted Lists” and on television. He was disguised as one of Lena’s good friends. Acting like an old lady, he hunched himself forwards and began to slowly walk towards the door. A guard began to stop “her”.

“Who are you?” one of the guards said to Raven.

“I am one of Mrs. Argyros’ good friends.”

The guard called Lena to the door. “Do you know this lady, Mrs. Argyros?”

Raven watched as Mrs. Argyros studied his face. Luckily for him, he had studied the face of Mrs. Argyros’ friend before he murdered her.

“Magdalene!” Mrs. Argyros finally said, hugging Raven. Raven put on a big show of hugging her back. His disguise had worked, and he didn’t even think that was possible.

They walked down the hallway where a bunch of guards were staring at them both. “Come, let’s go upstairs,” Raven said, smiling. Mrs. Argyros looked surprised.

“Alright,” she said.

Raven led her upstairs. He made sure the guards were out of sight before he smacked her and knocked her to the ground. He pulled off his disguise and pointed a gun at her. She screamed for her life. Raven cursed himself, knowing he was busted. But something made him stop in his tracks.

Two glowing, bright lights stood right beside Lena. In their hands they held swords and they looked like they were protecting her. Suddenly, they took their swords and pointed them at Raven. All the while, Lena was screaming, like she didn’t know what was happening.

It was at the wrong time when Teodor rushed in with a bunch of guards behind him. He saw Raven with his gun pointed towards Lena, and Lena was on the ground, her screams dying down. Raven wanted to scream himself when he felt a feeling around his neck like someone was…choking him. He turned around to see Teodor with his eyes red and his arm extended. Teodor’s hand was not around Raven’s neck, but his arm was right near his neck, his hand as if he was choking him. As Teodor’s hand was raised, Raven would lift of the ground. And then suddenly, out of the blue, a word came into his mind. Antichrist. He managed to whisper those words, and to his amazement, Teodor heard him.

“Never, ever, call me that name!” he said, and like an animal, Teodor tightened his grip on Raven’s neck. Teodor obviously loved it, and he decided to speed up the process. Teodor showed Raven his other hand, and in the place of Teodor’s fingernails were huge claws. Teodor took one of his claws, the one on his index finger, and then with a gruesome, evil smile, he showed what he was going to do to Raven.

“Father,” Raven cried to God, feeling a new strength within “Forgive me, and when I die, please take me to paradise with you and your Son.”

The anger on Teodor’s face was unexplainable. He looked like an evil animal, sent to kill. He was not the Teodor he looked like on television. “Any last words?” Teodor asked Raven. Raven remained silent. “I guess not,” Teodor said before he took his claw and used it on Raven’s neck.

Raven crashed to the ground. The guards and Lena looked at Teodor with horror.

“Now,” Teodor said, looking at the guards and then turning to look at Lena, “What just happened?” The guards suddenly popped up and it looked as if they didn’t know the answer to that question.

“I don’t know what just happened, sir,” one of them said to Teodor, “But we should all be downstairs right now.”

Lena looked at Teodor. She shook her head and she wanted to cry. She knew that her child was the Antichrist, the evil one who worships Satan and has no respect for God. She attempted to hold back her tears, but she knew Teodor could see right through her.

“What’s wrong, Mother?” he asked her.

Lena stood up. Teodor had brainwashed everyone and wiped out their memories of what just happened. But she knew she was protected. She knew what really happened. She looked towards the floor to see if she could see the killer’s body anywhere. But to her shock and surprise, it was gone.

“What are you looking for, Mom?” Teodor asked.

Lena snapped back into life, “Nothing Teodor, nothing…I’m just…confused, that’s all.”

Teodor looked at her. “Well, maybe you should rest.”

Lena attempted to smile at him. “Yeah, maybe I should get some.”

But she knew that she would only stay up all night, thinking about what had happened.

Miss Maude had been standing behind Linda as she prepared the evening meal and Linda’s patience was quickly running out, but she understood Miss Maude was used to doing things her way, but Linda liked doing things her way, too. Amy was sitting on a stool watching the two women banter away about this and that how things should be done. She snickered to herself and Linda gave her a quick look of “please, behave”. Linda’s patience began to wear thin, very thin and she said, “Miss Maude, I think I’ve been doing just fine preparing the meals and while I appreciate your advice, it isn’t necessary to show me how to prepare a meal”
Miss Maude gave Linda a hurt look, “I’m sorry. Old habit of mine to want to take over and control everything. Linda, I’ve lived alone so many years and become so set in my ways, but I will do better trying to just become one of the group. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks,” she sighed.
Then Linda felt guilty for not being more patient with Miss Maude, “Miss Maude we appreciate your input the same as anyone in our little family. I’m sorry I can always use your help and wisdom. You know how it is when you get a bunch of women in the kitchen,” she said with a little laugh.
“Dear, you are so sweet to understand and we will work it all out. Amy, would you like to learn some more crochet stitches? I used to make a lot of quilts back in the day,” Miss Maude said.
Amy smiled, “Yes, Miss Maude that would be great.”
Steve came into the room reaching down to get a bite of the dish Linda was preparing and she smacked his hand lightly, “Now, Steven, you know better than to mess with the food before it’s all ready.”
“Yes, I know, but I am going to run into town to check on things and just wanted a sample of your delicious food,” Steven said giving her a big grin.
Miss Maude perked up, “Would you mind stopping by my house to see if my cat, Gertie, has returned. She took off when the two agents came to the house and we didn’t have time to search for her. I would really appreciate it, dear.”
Steven patted her on the hand and gave her a wink, “Miss Maude, I would be glad to check on your cat, but what does she look like so I don’t pick up just any ole cat wondering around?”
“Well, she’s a rather large tabby and she will answer to her name. She’s kinda gotten fat and lazy over the years, but she has been with me a long time and I would like to find her,” Miss Maude told him.
He answered, “I will do my best to find her. Linda, save me some of this delicious casserole. I shouldn’t be gone more than a couple of hours. I need to check out some of the farm houses and Bud needs a few more supplies to finish the pole barn.”
Linda gave him a peck on the cheek, “You be careful and I will save you some dinner.”
He waved to the three women and went outside to tell Bud and Kerri he was leaving. The two men waved to Steven as he turned out onto the road leading to town. He would stop by Miss Maude’s on his way back so he wouldn’t have her cat riding all over town with him. He still felt he needed to be checking on the town even though there were only a couple of the residents left……..after all he was still the sheriff. He began humming Jesus Saves as he drove down the road toward town.

The media with their cameras and reporters had begun to arrive early parking their trucks at a safe distance. An angry mob had arrived earlier to let the witnesses know how upset they were. As alarm clocks had gone off in the pre-dawn hours to awaken people to a new work day, they had found their coffee pots full of blood. The tap water ran red as did the showers. Neighbors began to check with each other,
some had heard about what the two at the wall had spoke yesterday but until this morning had thought it to be some kind of joke.

Many tourist on vacation in the West Bank woke up in their hotels to find the same situation only in a bigger preportion. As they looked out their windows or walked along the coastline they could see that The Dead Sea was now crimson.

The Dead Sea runs between Isreal and Jordon and sits at 1,306 ft below sea level making it the lowest point on the surface of the earth. All the spas and healing saunas were now red with blood. Everywhere you walked you could smell the acrid smell of iron.

The cameras continue to roll as the angry people demand from the witnesses why they have done this to them. Some yell obscenities and others scream at them to leave their city.

One of the reporters turned to face the camera. “ This is Clark Cooper from WROL
Live from Jerusalem keeping you informed by the hour. As of the last update we feel we should inform you to stay in yiour homes until all this has come to an end. We don’t know when that will be but lock all doors and windows. We are not sure how the city will respond to having no water but the Prime Minister has asked for the city to remain calm. They are trying to have water shipped in from neighboring countries until this crisis has been resolved. Thank you and we will return in an hour for the latest developments.”

Looking out at the angry mob, he could tell they still hadnt taken the violent route but were continuing to scream at will, trying to get the two witnesses to respond to them, but thye continued to pray.

Lena was lying on her bed, shaking uncontrollably with a cold sweat on her body. Images of what Teodor had done flashed in front of her eyes every time she closed them. His red eyes and sharp claws made her think of the devil, of satan...because that is who he would become.

"My baby....my baby..." she cried repeatedly through her tears. She curled up in the fetal position and began to rock back and forth, feeling pure agony.

She had trouble understanding why the Lord chose Teodor as the antichrist. "Why him Lord? Why Teodor?" She was unable to wrap her mind around God's logic, but in her heart she knew it was God's Will for Teodor to play this role.

She just wished it wasn't true...that it was some horrible nightmare she could wake from.

In her mind, she heard the killer whisper "Antichrist" before Teodor's harsh rebuttal of "Never, ever call me that name!" Then....then the claws....oh the horrible claws....

But a tiny light started to break through the darkness which surrounded her. She remembered the last thing the man had said: "Father! Forgive me, and when I die, please take me to paradise with You and Your Son." At that moment, when the man had realized Teodor's true nature, a split second before his death, he gave his life to Christ. It reminded her of the man on the cross who had cried out to Jesus...

"Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom" he had said, and Jesus had answered him by saying "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise". "Luke 23:42-43" Lena whispered, even though moments ago she did not remember the chapter or verse; it was as if God was cementing the verse into her mind. She knew the man had given his life to Christ and that he was now in His arms.

Lena smiled slightly. That little, hopeful thought helped clear away the blackness in her mind. The light grew as she started to pray:
"Lord Jesus, you know I am grieving due to the evil nature of my son, and I pray you will comfort me and protect me from his evil. I thank you for loving me and forgiving even the worst of us, even at the moment of our death. I hope you will guard my soul right now as satan tries to drown me in my sorrows, and I will need this protection for the rest of my time on earth. You tell me in the Psalms that light will come bursting in when darkness overtakes the Godly, and I thank you for bringing this light to me. In Jesus name, amen."

Indeed, as soon as she spoke those last words, she felt a warmth of love and protection like she had never felt before. As she closed her eyes, a soft light seemed to be surrounding her bed, as if proving true Psalm 112's promise. She knew God was with her.

As soon as the GF submarine Teodor was clear of all vessels and back underway, Captain Barlow got on the general announcing system and make a speech to his crew.

“This is the Captain Speaking; I want every man and women onboard to stop what they are doing and listen up.” Tim waited a few seconds to continue.

“I know we were within yards of tying up and I know you all want some time off and maybe a beer or two but right now we have something more important then beer or women. Men and Women of the Teodor, I have just received a message from higher command and this has the blessing of our one true worldly leader Teodor Argyros.
This mission should only take a few days and once it is complete, I promise each one of you, you will never have to buy another drink in your life and you could have any women or man you choose. Upon completion of this mission this crew will be worthy of a ticker day parade down town New York. Now if there is anyone on board my boat who doesn’t want to go on this mission can come see me. I promise you will get off my boat.
Now I want all department heads in the wardroom in five minutes. That is all”
Tim smiled then turned to the OOD, “Sound General Quarters.”

“Sonar to Conn, Contact Alpha 1 is a US Attack Sub. Delaware class, it is presently surfaced”
“Conn aye”

The words US attack sub sent waves of panic down Joes back. Yes he felt he was ready to skipper this sub and crew but if they got tangled up with a US attack sub, he doubted he could out smart their skipper.

“Rig for silent running, helm come right to new course” Joe announced

Still being new to the sub, it took a little longer then 30 seconds to secure the boat. Once it was, Weapons Boss Mc Clean slowly walked to the Conn and asked what was going on.

Joe looked at his new Weapons Boss hoping it was Ben but knew that Mark Mc Clean would do a good job. “We have a US Attack sub 49 miles out on the surface”

“On the surface, what in blue blazes is she doing topside?”
“No clue but she is on a course parallel to ours.”
“Mark, I must ask you if we get in a fight can we win?”

Mark never thought of that, here he is on a British sub with mostly Israel sailors and they might have a shoot out with a seasoned US Skipper and her crew. “Wow Sir, I am afraid to say I would place all my money on the other team right now.”

“Thanks Mark, I agree we are on a foreign boat with a new skipper, this is why I went to silent running and we changed course. I want distant between us”

Wise choice sir, I will make ready all weapons just in case. By the way sir, you and your crew will do fine; I just think the other team has had more time to practice.”

“Thank you Mark, but we have our ace player. We have the Lord on our side”

“Yes well I hope he doesn’t have plans to call us home yet”
“Oh, not saved yet Mark?”

“Never had time sir, figured I’d retire first get all this navy life out of my system first.”

“Mark you know where me and this crew stand on this, your time is about up, you better make up your mind before it is too late.”

“Guess your right, we will see. I’ll go get those fish’s ready for you” Mark stated before turning around and depart.

"Abraham wake up"
The shelter below the kitchen lay in darkness as everyone slept in the wee hours of the morning. Everyone had been up late preparing the shelter with enough water for each one of them.

The Rabbi snored softly not yet feeling the presence of the Holy angel standing by his bedside.

"Abraham wake up".

His eyes opened blnking rapidly at the brilliant light filling the room. Everyone else remained asleep.

"Abraham, rise up and recieve a message the Lord has sent me to deliver."

Clearing the cobwebs from his brain the Rabbi realized he was not dreaming and sat up on the side of his bed.

"He who reigns wants you to take your people to the street to minster to the lost souls that he has prepared to recieve Him during the next few days. The door has opened so that many hearts will believe in the coming hours. Come quickly and walk with me and I will show you where in the city you are most needed."

The Rabbi quickly rose and dressed without waking the others and followed the angel out into the streets heading for Nazareth.

Captain Barlow looked out over the water; “I want to stay on top for the next 300 miles unless something comes up. Make my nightly standing orders to only dive if enemy contacts get within 300 miles.”
“Aye sir” the Conning Officer replied
“I’ll be with the Weapons Boss if you need me”
“Very well sir”

Captain Barlow found the Weapons Officer seating at a computer in the Combat Control Room.
“Vic, I want two cruise missiles with W-80 warheads on them checked and ready to launch within 24 hours.”
“W-80 sir, those are nukes”

“I know what they are, they are 100 kiloton tactical Warheads. At 16:00 tomorrow I will give you the target GPS points. Until then you and your crew will remain quite about this. Do you understand?”
“Ah yes sir, they will be ready”

“Good. Vic we can all go home and never have to worry about war again after this”
“Sorry sir, but we have heard that before. No wars after WWI or II.”

“Vic, our Leader is the true thing, he has all the nations together and except for this rough fleet of less then honorable sailors the world will live in peace once and for all”

“Sir didn’t Hitler say the same thing?”
“Mr. Butler, if you weren’t my Weapons Officer I would shot you on the spot for comparing our leader to Hitler. One more commit like that I will find another Weps. Understood”
“Ah yes sir, sorry sir”

Tim Barlow walked out shaking his head. Vic Butler thought to himself, wow he might get to fire a true nuke. “I wonder what the target is, surely not that fleet everyone has been looking for, maybe one of those countries decided not to join the world and this is a how this Teodor is going to keep them in line.”
